Little Red Riding Hood (Folk Tale Classics)

What big eyes you have
I loved fairy tales when I was growing up and Paul Galdone's retellings are some of the best ones out there. I love his illustrations and his adaptation from the Brothers Grimm. The Wolf does eat Granny and Red Riding Hood, but of course, the Hunter magically pulls them both out of the Wolf alive, and then the Wolf drops dead from fright at the sight of the Hunter. I find his illustrations and stories quite comical. Galdone's set of hardcover folk tales are beautiful to look at and inexpensive. I have The Gingerbread Boy, as well, and I hope his retelling of The Shoemaker and The Elves comes out in hardcover, too. This is great bedtime story for children and adults, as well, and I highly recommend adding this to your child's home library. Great for ages 3-5.

This is lovely
This is a lovely rendition of a classic. It has some terrific vocabulary, gorgeous illustrations and is a pleasure . It is a little small for my small Kindle, and has 2 pages on one screen otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

This story, by Paul G., was read to my grandchildren and now will be read to my great grand children. However, this time, I have created knitted doll of the characters to go along with the story telling.
