At the Beach (Penguin Young Readers, Level 1)

My 2yr old loves early reader books, this is not a riveting story. It is just pictures of items and saying they are on the beach, in the water, or on the sand. (The pail is on the beach) but this will make it easy to read and remember.

This book and the others in this series are truly beginning readers. They are rated a DRA Level 1 A. What a wonderful series for my Kindergartener who knows his letters and sounds but is just starting to learn words.

My 5 year old loves this book because, for a beginning reader, its easy to read. Simple words and pictures help young readers.

They start with the more consonant and vowels combinations (level one) and increasingly add complexity and length of story (level two and three). They really helped my son learn to read!

Very simple for little ones learning to read. My 2 year old picked up quickly. Would recommend for sure.
