Magnetic feeding squares, aka magnetic feeding rings, save time during feeding. If you’re a busy reefer- you can still feed your fish frozen food! Now the food will defrost safely within the feeding square instead of getting caught in your overflow. This eliminates prep time defrosting your food, so you can sit back and watch your fish, or run out the door on your way to work. Our new magnetic feeding square floats on the top of your aquarium and provides an area for your fish to eat while the food defrosts. The included magnet connects securely to glass up to 5/8″ thick. The square shape has sharper corners that keep the food within the square. Circular rings tend to allow the food to fall out if there is any water movement in your aquarium. Our magnetic feeding square features extra tall sides that act as a buoy. The holder can oscillate up and down to match the water level, even if you have a wave-maker creating an artificial wave motion. Every feeding square has internal dimensions of 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ , and external dimensions of 4″ x 4″. They are 1″ tall, with 1/2″ under water, and 1/2″ above water. The Magnets have a 1 1/2″ diameter and are 1/2″ thick. The Oscillating arm is 2 1/4″ long. In total the feeding square protrudes 7″, allowing you to feed your fish in a central location, instead of limiting you to the edges of your aquarium.

Good product! Not the best value for the price
I was afraid the suction wouldn’t be enough because my glass is right at the thick esa limit but it’s fine! Only issue is that my tank hood pushes the outer magnet down which pulls the inner one down and causes the ring to set at an angel and the food escapes. Plus kids and things can knock off or snatch the outer magnet and cause issues. I also bought the suction kind and thought because they were more affordable they’d be of lesser value and they are thinner and lighter but they work just as well even with my agresiva eaters. (I have a african cichlids) without any pieces outside the tank to be of issue.

Not great for Neptune AFS
Because of how the magnet is put together on the inside part, a lot of food gets dumped outside of the holder. I don’t use it anymore.

I hate it
I think it works but I hate it. I can't even explain why but I do.

Does the trick
This works great to keep my flakes from getting prematurely blown around and sucked under by the pump. Fish totally acclimated to it in a day.

Better than the cheap plastic
This is much better for my turtles than the cheap thin plastic ones.

Works great
Keeps food from going straight into the filter. Helps minimize ammonia levels in the water. Magnet hold it securely in place.
