A good straightforward stand for tablets and phones
I looked around at various tablet / phone stands before deciding to get this one. I wanted to avoid the fancier tablet stands that had multiple hinges and things like that. The more working parts, the greater the chance something will go wrong after repeated use. If you look at the pictures of it, this little stand uses nooks and gravity to hold up your tablet, and as far as I can tell nobody has ever broken gravity. It's plastic, which constitutes it's lower price. But, it's a good, hard plastic. You'd have to be extra rough on the tablet to break it.The base of the stand was designed with a variety of devices in mind, so it's good for holding tablets whether they be thick or thin. The stand has rubber feet to keep it in place, so when you use your tablet's touch screen it doesn't slide around. My desk is a (somewhat) old fashioned one with a smooth surface and the stand does not slide around at all. As time wears on, a touch of Vaseline here and there should keep the rubber feet of the stand in good shape. The stand folds flat for portability. It will not fit into a pocket and I don't see it fitting into a purse. But, a tablet that you'd use the stand with is not something you'd (usually) carry around in a pocket or purse, either, anyway. But, when folded, this stand could travel around well enough in things like a small briefcase or backpack. Combine this stand with something like a bluetooth keyboard and you've sort of turned your tablet into a mini desktop.

Works well for large tablets
I purchased this stand for use with an Ipad3. Most stands and cases are designed to orient the table horizontally. I use the iPad primarily as an ebook reader so vertical orientation is preferred. The stand is sturdy and holds the tablet firmly in place. The bottom is non slip .There are times when I need to recharge the iPad3 while in use. The notch at the bottom didn't allow for this but the plastic is soft enough that it is quite easy to trim the notch so the plug fits..

Strong, Sturdy & Delivered in less than 24hrs!!
If you're looking for an iPad holder that you can adjust to various angles and get full touching use of your device this is the one! For years I've dealt with holders that soon as you touched the screen it folded or swung downward. Not this one. It's a strong little stand that can withstand the multiple contact and usage like typing or doing inputs or using to activate command in a recording studio. I needed this by Friday, ordered it Mon at 11 am and it was delivered by 10 am the next day! Blew my mind. You'll love it!

Not tall enough to charge tablet while in stand!! Otherwise great.
A nice, sturdy little stand for my 10.1" Galaxy Tab4. The back, unlike other more expensive stands I have had, snaps into place and holds the viewing angle you have set it at. It is wide enough to hold this larger tablet with stability. I am very happy with this part and would have awarded 5 stars.BUT!! Even though they HAVE included a notch to insert the charging cable, they did not make the base thick enough to allow for non-kinking clearance of the cable with those tabs with the charging port at bottom center when sitting in normal position. A thick or wedge shaped base would have solved this. I have found you need to do one of four things, all of which sorta defeat the idea of a fixed stand:*1* Move the tablet elsewhere when charging.*2* Move the stand to the very edge of the table so the cable projects down, off the table. NOT!*3* Cut a piece of wood/particle board the appropriate size to match the base with a slot in the front that avoids conflict with the cord.*4* Re-adjust the stand so it is laying all the way down permitting the cord to run horizontal to the table top.Oh yeah *5* put your latest romance novel under the stand base every time you need to charge. This is what most people probably do at home.C'mon fellas! Using an engineer instead of the advertising intern for designing would solve these silly deficiencies. Moving things around does not sound like much till you have to move and find room for the stapler, coffee cup, paper clip cup and tape dispenser every time too. This is AT LEAST a 2 star defect on an otherwise great product-- whenever I find a good board scrap and cut it to size for a permanent 3/4" lift, I will probably be less cranky.

Good and Sturdy. You won't know you'll miss it until it's missing.
I bought this same thing from an office supply store a few years ago on clearance (different brand, but exactly the same thing).Little did I know that if I were to ever loose it or leave it somewhere making it irretrievable that my world would be lost without it. I know it's a simply gadget, but it's so useful, and buying a replacement from a store-any store- proved to be near impossible. I've had other stands before too. Some were smaller or cuter, but none were ever as sturdy as this one. I use it in the bed sometimes and smaller ones get knocked over so easily. The base is also broad enough that it can handle a heavy table.

Doubtful at first, but a year and 3 months later I'm really liking it
When I first opened the package for this stand, my first impression was not good. This stand has kind of a cheap plastic-y feel to it. However, after a month and a half of use, I'm sold on this guy. I carry it everywhere in my backpack and use it with my 8" Samsung Tab 3, and it's rock-solid. The rubber feet do a great job of preventing the stand from sliding around when I push on the screen. It's adjustable to lots of different angles, and the advantage of it being made of cheap plastic is that it's very light weight. It's easy to set up and fold up, and holds the tablet securely. So far it seems to be holding up well. I'm glad my first impression turned out to be wrong -- I really like it and would buy it again. Update over a year later: Still love this thing. Lost the first one, ordered another, then found the lost one. They're surprisingly rugged, and have held up well. I carry the first one in my backpack, and the 2nd sits by the bed for nighttime reading. This is the stand to buy.

Great Purchase
Great buy for the price. I use this for my 13" drawing tablet and I have no problems with the stand sliding backwards. It is a little small width wise as i have to sometimes balance my tablet on it but it does the job for now.
