So here's the deal. I don't write many reviews but feel I had to with this rope. I travel to Pismo a lot and have seen the effectiveness of kinetic energy ropes. I bought a no name brand kinetic rope 1"x30 ft. It was blue and shiny. Rated at 30,000 lbs. Then I really started to research kinetic ropes. You want a rope that is rated about 3 times the vehicle. Decided to get the 1 1/4" instead rated at 50,000 lbs plus. The diffence between the two ropes is night and day.ASR offroad is a USA based company. The other rope was who knows where. It was no brand name. ASR, among other websites, states to be careful of cheap knockoff ropes as you can lose up to ten percent in snap rating just in the material used. Knowing that I was purchasing from a USA based company I felt confident that I was getting the best rope possible. The feeling of this rope stands out from the other. It is super flexible and feels top quality. Knowing also that ASR has a warranty along with a US based phone number and website I feel confident that if the need shall ever arise I will be able to get in contact with them.The rope also comes with a serial number so I know that these are controlled more thoroughly then other ropes. On the rope I received it comes with a section of extra black material to protect the eyes. Instead of being dipped in a rubber coating. While I have no proof of this my guess is that this will maintain flexibility throughout the entire length of the rope. There is also a section of this same extra material in the middle of the rope that can be moved around. This will allow me to adjust the protection along the length if I need to. As mentioned above there is a tag attached to the rope that includes size, strength, website, and serial number. Overall this is a great product and well worth the investment. I highly recommend ASR and will continue to purchase from them in the future.

I have a Super Duty dually and I figured this would be an appropriate size for it. It is overkill. If you have a large full-size tractor, dump truck, semi truck or other very large application I recommend it. For the average person it is way too large of a diameter and takes up too much space. I bought a 7/8 inch kinetic rope for my Jeep Wrangler and it would also be fine for my dually. I do carry in and use this 1 1/4 inch rope for my dually and it is a fine rope but kinetically it isn't as useful, since my truck isn't heavy enough to get a good stretch.

Small abrasion on rope that looks like it was repaired by melting spot. About a 3/8 inch blemish. I will be very cautious when using it.

Excellent rope at a fair price. Shipping was quick. This kinetic rope will be replacing one of my tow straps. Definitely needs a good size bag to store it though.

Serious recovery rope for people that are really stuck. On new years eve my brother buried his lifted Diesel 1 ton in a hard packed snow drift so deep we couldn't open the doors and had to crawl out the windows. I thought we'd be digging it out for days as we were about 50 yards from the road and the snow was about 2 feet deep everywhere. A friend came to help with one of these ropes and his 3/4 ton diesel. He hooked up and got a running start and in 1 clean jerk got my brother loose and with a second jerk pulled him clear. Absolutely amazed that this kind of force didn't damage anything and pulled him clear so fast. Needless to say I bought one myself. I've only used mine on people who weren't nearly so stuck but it works great. I feel that a kinetic rope makes the difference when things are really stuck and is so much safer than a chain. So glad we made it home new years eve instead of digging out my retard brother in single digit temps all night.

I love these ropes cause they definitely take the blunt of the load and you truly don’t feel the tug/jerk of yanking someone out of a sticky/ sandy situation. I actually use this rope at least 10-12 times last weekend out at one of our sandy/ lake state parks in Utah and it was amazing definitely buying more for my other trucks for snow rescue in our winters.
