Chicken breast even when cooked from fresh is the driest part of the chicken. It would stand to reason then canned chicken breast would also be a little dry. It certainly will not taste anything like fried chicken LOL but the canned is great for making chicken and dumplings, stir fries, soups and other recipes where poached chicken is called for. If time is short, given the choice between making a quickie chicken stew/soup with this canned chicken or stopping off for fast food, then the canned chicken wins hands down.Home cooked, even when short cuts are taken, is always better IMO. Another big asset for me is the chicken is organic. My only complaint with this Valley Fresh canned chicken is the added salt--it's really generous so I suggest tasting dish before adding additional salt. I liked this canned chicken enough to add it to my subscribe and save.

I've enjoyed this chicken for a long time and since the price went down on this site, it's now a great deal. The only thing I wish it had was a pop-top can so I wouldn't have to worry about making sure I pack a can opener to take wherever I'm going as I often take it to work or on trips.

Way too expensive for what this is. I know for a fact they are charging too much for this product. It's a decent product, but I know what it's actually worth. It should cost about a third less than this. Why doesn't 365 have their own brand of canned chicken??? I grew up in a home where canned chicken was a common staple. We used it for chicken salad, cooking, bagged lunches, snacks, etc. We always had a few cans in the pantry. I don't understand why this is so expensive. Totally ridiculous price. We must have paid around $1.99 for canned chicken and it really wasn't that long ago. This price is stupid! 😠

The price is inexpensive for a canned organic chicken, but you are paying for a lot of water. The flavor is so-so, not bad, but not real tasty. I may purchase, again, as a quick protein backup for an organic chicken product, but not something I will have a lot of in my cupboard.

This is the kind of thing you wanna have around for hurricane season in case you lose power.

The can comes half empty. We measured the chicken to be less than 3 oz - the can claims 5oz.

I order this produce fairly often. The product is good, but the cans are almost always DENTED.

Won’t get again. I’ve bought too much cat food with dented cans. I always figured that was why good pricing. I just don’t want to buy seconds when I am not informed about it ahead of time. (This includes tissue boxes (severely dented from shipping or plastic wrap), plastic container with food, (so dented it won’t sit up but the product was not damaged). Chicken ok.
