A fabulous lig. It doesn't pinch the reed, even if it is a bit over-tight and theres tons of customizable plate set-ups (this one doesn't come with any)(My alto friend had difficulty projecting with some plates, so beware!). Coming from the classic metal two-screw, the single screw, fabric mesh opened the tone and made reed adjustment much easier. I also tried a single screw vinyl type lig but it didn't allow the reed to move at all. My tone was stuffy and I had little flexibility.At first I was frustrated because the ligature appeared too big for the mouthpiece but you can adjust how the screw threads through the pins and fabric. The cap fits beautifully.I've used the lig on a crap stock mouthpiece, a Yamaha 4C, and E. Rousseau and a Meyer and it works great on all of them. My only complaint is that I only have one of them!

The ligature itself is the quality that you expect from Rovner. However the description of the bari sax ligature should include a caveat regarding any thin or thinner designed mouthpieces. For example a Yamaha or a RICO mouthpiece is too thin for this ligature. In order to ensure a good fit you actually have to buy a tenor saxophone ligature.

With two daughters who play sax, we have now bought this twice in tenor and twice in Bari sizes. The girls swear by them.

It's a great product. I don't have any complaints about it whatsoever, unless you want a good cap to go with the ligature. The cap itself is just a cheap plastic, a good temporary fix, though I'll get a better one in the future. This ligature though is very nice, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on my tone quality since I bought this. Great buy for $24

Worked well with my Yamaha 4C mouthpiece. But wish this would hold the reed more tighter.

My son needed a new mouth piece set up for school.This one was a decent price so we tried itso far he likes it, his Bari Sax is sounding better , louderIf he owned his own Sax I would have gotten him a better onethis set up is very good for school instrument.

Very nice ligature but would not fit my mouthpiece. It probably would have fit if my mouth piece was not a cheap student model.I dont own a bari sax but wanted a mouth piece and ligature for use during musical orchestras when borrowing an instrument.
