I ordered a size bigger than I should have and have since ordered one more pair a size smaller. I would say order the size you normally would . I bought the pleated shorts.

I'm a size 44 waist, so it is difficult to find shorts that fit reasonably well, but these were totally oversized. The crotch hung about 4 or 5 inches lower than it needed, and the bottom of the shorts hit me below the knee. These may have worked for me if I were 6'-10" tall, but they were so long and baggy our was comical. Perhaps more traditional sized shorts would fit better. Too bad because I like lightweight, pleated shorts and these otherwise appeared to be a good weight of fabric.

Haggar clothes have always fit me well, and have been very good quality. These measure up.
