Mr. Beans's Holiday

Life Is Better When You're Laughing
As unfair as life is, it's nice when we can be laughing! Have peaceful, enjoyable moments. You'll get that from watching this film. Not only is it a really funny movie, but it's a simple movie that also focuses on the beauty of France. The background music works really well for the movie too. Mr. Bean is an iconic movie/T.V. show character. Even if you haven't watched Mr. Bean, you most likely know who he is. He's played by Rowan Atkinson, and despite other movies Atkinson has been in, including voicing Zazu in The Lion King, Atkinson as an actor is recognized mainly for his role as Mr. Bean. This movie doesn't try too hard to be funny. It's about Mr. Bean winning a trip in London, to the South Of France by the beach. Specifically to Cannes, France. As whacko as Mr. Bean is portrayed as. This movie shows through comedy a bunch of mishaps from going on a vacation. It reminds me of mistakes I'd want to avoid happening while traveling. Things like getting separated from somebody, (specifically, the kid in the movie Stepan getting separated from his Dad). Reminding you of somebody you could get separated from with travel. It emphasizes other things like missing a train, plus getting around in a place you're not as familiar with and don't speak the language. It shows other things like losing a passport, train ticket, and wallet, something you'd definitely want to avoid while traveling. Seeing how hard it can be to get to your destination and get around, without those things. That's another thing, Mr. Bean going around France, showing the beauty of that country in areas we're probably less familiar with. The friendships he makes while traveling around, trying to get the boy Stepan back to his Dad and meeting up with Sabine. In a lot of ways this movie is simple. You'll get some good laughs while watching. The movie even has a post credits scene, which seems common to movies nowadays. A clever post credits scene, of just writing "Fin" in the sand at the beach as the waves wash up on it. That works for French and Spanish. The camera, Mr. Bean has been using shows a Low Battery with sound effects, and it shuts off as if a camera was really shutting off. All in all you watch this movie, you'll probably get good laughs and see how simple of a movie it is, and notice it shows the beauty of France like I've been saying. It's a comedy, but also feel good, Happy Movie. I got this on Blu Ray, but the Blu Ray should have included the main menu. You just need to press the button on your remote control to go to the Bonus Features, which includes Deleted Scenes such as Mr. Bean getting his tie stuck in a vending machine where you put money in, and has trouble taking it out. Other deleted scenes including one where Sabine attempts suicide. You wonder what was supposed to have happened in that scene. Did not including it change the movie? Anyway, you can see the movie yourself. I'm sure you'll like I and get a good laugh.

Still love Mr. Bean. He makes me laugh when he does things that are clueless except he solves the problems.
