CX 300S In Ear Headphone with One-Button Smart Remote - Red

I picked up the Sennheiser CX 300S black ones because the free earbuds that came with my phone were sounding thin and the mic was useless for calls. I wanted something simple, wired, with a remote for play/pause and answering the phone, that I could use on the bus, at my desk, and for short walks without spending a lot. These are basic in-ear buds with a flat cable, one-button remote, and four pairs of tips so you can try different sizes. Once I found the right tip size they seal pretty well and block a decent amount of outside noise for a passive pair. Sound is clearer and more balanced than the cheap stock ones—vocals come through clean, and there’s enough bass for most music and podcasts without it getting muddy or tiring after an hour. I use them for commuting, listening while working, and taking the occasional call. The mic is fine for everyday conversations; people can hear me clearly in quiet or moderately noisy spots. The one-button remote works for play/pause and calls, which is all I really need most days. The cable doesn’t tangle as easily as round ones, and the right-angle plug is practical. They come with a small pouch, which helps keep them from getting scratched in a bag. On the downside, fit depends a lot on your ears. The tips that worked for me might not stay put for someone else, and a few people mention they slip out during movement. The single button means no volume control on the cable, and track skipping can be hit-or-miss depending on your phone. Durability is mixed—some folks get years out of them, others report the cable or one side going after a few months of daily use. They’re not meant for workouts or rain either. For the money (value for money), these deliver better sound and a usable mic than most free or ultra-cheap earbuds. I expected a reliable daily driver that sounded clearer and handled calls without hassle, and they mostly met that. Not the most feature-packed or bombproof pair out there, but they do the practical stuff I bought them for without drama.

I have headaches so ear buds and iems is the way for me. With that being said I’m a competitive gamer on Xbox who plays rainbow six siege. For years I’ve heard about these earbuds. Beaulo A pro rainbow six siege player used these for years before moving over to Bose qc. They were called the senheiser 3.0 now the try are called senheiser 300s. I believe the difference now is having a built-in mic. I was unable to find any information. So I have to go purely off my experience. Firstly the fact that these are so light with this powerful a base is actually crazy. I was under the impression the bigger the earbud the more bass, well that’s just not the case with this earbud. Extremely light Powerful bass ( having the right fit tip fixed this) Now for the most important part which I think I’ll have to update later. The soundstage. It’s such a wide open soundstage I wasn’t used to it because I’ve been using cheap turtle beach battle buds. And Before you lose your mind on that here’s my experience on past earbuds. Tin t2 very accurate but too high pitch Blon 03 awesome bass but not accurate soundstage. HyperXcloud falls out of ears Rip OK now back to the turtle beach battle buds. These are so underrated The bass and the soundstage are so good for gaming hell anything music movies etc. my problem with them is they’re very bulky and get uncomfortable after some time and the mic is terrible always getting complaints about how people can’t hear me or whatever. In actuality it’s my fault because I don’t use the boom mic because that’s more pressure on the ear. OK now back to the Sennheiser 300s These are the only earbuds to ever compare to my turtle beaches my only problem is I’m not used to the sound stage yet. Even if I end up not using these for competitive R6, i’m probably gonna use this with everything else just for the simple fact the base is so exciting and it’s so light and I don’t even feel like I’m wearing anything. If I’m able to update I will give an update on the soundstage and how well they work with Rainbow six siege. Sorry for the long write, but I figured I should share my hundreds of hours of competitive FPS earbuds experience, Especially since there’s such little information out there. Update not good for R6 on Xbox. Turtle beach earbuds still king.

So, I'm not fond of writing negative reviews, and I really am fond of some of the things regarding these headphones, but.. Here we are. Some positives: 1. It looks very nice, I like the color and style 2. The medium size silicon buds are relatively comfortable.. After some initial adjusting, they're really good tips! (I will call them tips from this point on) Negatives, and why I'm writing this review: 1. The sound quality is.. Off. Specifically, I think there's something off about the bass. 2. While it's comfortable to wear, it was actually kind of painful to put in my ears at first. The tips were a little stiffer for some reason. They do soften up after time though, and then they're great. 3. The silicon tips... Fall off sometimes. I've don't know how, but I've rarely had this issue with other headphones. It's happened several times, and I eventually lost one of my medium tips (right ear). 4. The replacement silicon tips are.. Okay. The small one is the size I chose after the medium, and they look any form of noise cancellation, which means that it's harder to block out sounds if you're in any public space (say, a coffee shop). One of the small tips also fell off (left ear) after a few days of use. 5. I've looked around for replacements for these tips for some time, and Sennheiser only seems to want you to buy different tips from a company called Complyfoam, which... Is expensive. I just wish I could get a replacement for the ones that came with these headphones. Overall, the headphones aren't bad (though not worth the $50 price point, I'd say they're valid at $20). If you get these, just keep an eye on the silicon tips!

This is my second pair of CX300S in a few years because they have a good microphone, good quality construction, and sound perfectly decent for average listening. I especially like the carrying case that comes with them! My first pair had the left earbud go out after several years of regular use, including a fair amount of travel to and from work, around the country, and on my desk! I'll keep buying them until the quality declines.

They have a lot of competition in this day and age. For me the only things they have going for them now are the size, the flat cable making them hard to tangle, and how easy that makes it to just fold the cable several times and toss them in a pocket. In that respect I will give them points for durability as I haven't done that much to take it easy on them, but I don't go out of my way to be hard on them either(I've owned a pair for probably closing in on 10 years maybe). The size of the ear pieces is only really a benefit to me for things like laying on a pillow, however they're still not perfect for that. Overall they're a decent pair, but with chi-fi products entering the ring and being the budget kings they are at many price points, these are really losing the battle. On that note the pouch while okay, it doesn't hold a candle to what the Truthears Gate comes with, plus mine began to flake after a while. I don't know if the one from Truthears will, but it feels higher quality and more like actual leather.

After a bad outing with the Sennheiser CX 100 (they lasted 10 days before the left earbud died), I decided to try the CX 300S due to its perceived improved build quality. I've had them since April 20th, and so far, so good. The cable is thicker and the 1/8th inch plug is reinforced much more sturdily than the CX 100. These earbuds are *extremely* comfortable. You can sleep in them and you don't even notice them in your ears. Sound isolation is very good, much better than CX 100. When working out at the gym, external noise is cancelled. The bass is also much improved over the CX 100. However, I find that the mids are a touch cleaner with better soundstage on the CX 100. But overall, the CX 300S provides a more exciting listening experience, especially if you're a basshead. I'm really hoping these last. Best earbuds I've ever owned. Worth the price and the sound quality is just on another level entirely compared to the earbuds you get with phones. UPDATE: Best headphones I've yet owned. A few months in, no issues, even after being run over by a car. It doesn't feel like you're wearing them, noise cancelling is acceptable, sound quality fantastic. Only issue is the inline mic is weak at recording field sounds (it's okay for calls) and the jack comes out easy, which I'm assuming was designed this way to prolong the life of the connection at the jack point. I LOVE these. I would buy another in a second. And Sennheiser has a fan for life.

For Sennheisers, I was really expecting a lot better. These were just a disappointment. For starters, the right earbud stopped working after less than a month of having them. They feel very cheap and frail which is probably what caused them to break so fast. The silicon tips did a horrible job at staying in my ear and would fall out constantly no matter the activity. The button control is very unintuitive, I would have to open my phone to pause, play, skip and control the volume. Most importantly however was the sound quality; it’s not great. It would only sound good once I’ve jammed them into my ear only for them to fall back out 5 second later. I’ve had $5 earbuds that work better than these. Don’t even bother.

These are the BEST wired earbuds under $100 I have EVER used. These have been my road warrior with me on many business trips already. I have a nontraditional Android phone that still has a 3.5mm Jack, and I prefer that over opening up Bluetooth at airports any day. It's always reliable since you don't need to charge anything, the sound is intense, full of bass, and maintains three quality even when it is set to a loud volume. The rest cusions are easy to swap, but hold in extremely well. I LOVE(D) these earbuds... however, I just got back from a trip to Alexandria outside of Washington DC and my pair was stolen from me. I suppose others out there knew how great these were and jumped on the chance to steal them. In any case, there was ZERO hesitation purchasingb replacement earbuds. If you're like me, and have to have complete control of your components, preferring wired headsets, I would HIGHLY recommend these earbuds!

Tengo poco con ellos y no han pasado por la prueba del tiempo, entonces no puedo hablar de esa parte. En cuanto a audio, suenan muy claro, reproducen todos los sonidos con nitidez, le falta un poco de cuerpo/punch al bajo pero siguen reproduciendo correctamente esos sonidos. Se compartan bien en diferentes géneros, a diferencia de otros audífonos que priorizan bajos sobre otros elementos y terminan por ser "especializados" para música electrónica básica, descuidando la experiencia de escuchar otro tipo de música. En cuanto a relación calidad-precio, los compré por la marca, no tengo suficientes comparativas con audífonos de la misma gama para hablar de este factor, pero están bonitos y tienen mejor feel que otros más baratos. Los recomiendo aunque podría haber mejores opciones, sólo que no las conozco.

Zu Hause liegen sie herum, die Ohrstöpsel, ein paarmal verwendet und dann frustriert verworfen. Der Sennheiser CX 300S ist eine wohltuende Ausnahme. Klar im Sound, nicht Bass lastig. Der Sound kommt an, wie er soll, nämlich TRUE. Die Stöpsel rutschen leicht aus dem Ohr heraus - das ist der einzige Schwachpunkt. Empfehlenswert !

3.5mm jack wired headphones with Mic for mobile phones is more and more disappearing from the face of the globe and personally I do not like this idea at all, including that I do not want to even buy any mobile phone without 3.5mm jack option. Sennheiser CX300S are not very expensive headphones but there are still a quality headphones from this firm, and I buy there headphone products for two decades already, like this one Sennheiser CX300S mainstream headphones, to those Sennheiser headphones of much higher quality and much more expensive. I even bought this same Sennheiser CX300S headphone model one time in my life already, and I did not make mistake, because it is a good product. Yes, you cannot expect the "Start Trek" sound from them and for High Fidelity listeners, but they are not created for them in the first place, and for the others this headphones will be just fine, especially in this price ratio. All in all, I recommend them. Thank you.

Depois de quase um ano de uso gostaria de fazer uma reavaliação deste fone. Logo quando comprei fiquei um pouco decepcionado. Achei os graves ruins e o som um pouco baixo, mas depois troquei as borrachinhas e descobri que este fone é maravilhoso. Tem um som límpido e bem definido e tem graves excelentes. Quanto ao volume, após trocar as borrachinhas uso em 50% do volume e já me dou por satisfeito. Super recomendo.
