Color contrast
Nice weight to it, good sized tape and easy to read, I also like the color combo a lot.have not had long so I don't know how durable it is as yet.

Sturdy, Heavy
A large, sturdy, heavy measuring tape with nice features. It really could benefit from a temporary hold button in addition to the normal slide lock, though. It closes with quite a lot of force.

The body of the tape measure is flat on the bottom and the lock works!
A tape you can actually use!I have not put this tape through its paces yet, but here’s what I have assessed from first impressions and comparisons to other tapes I’ve used.Pros: The outer construction feels durable. I like the *diamond coated end hook, that’s a feature I’ve not had on a tape before. This tape has four rivets attaching the end hook to the tape; I prefer this to the 3 rivets that are typical to many tape measures. Another nice feature is the metal through hole that can be used as a pivot or for a tether. I like that the bottom of the tape measure body is **flat, the way a tape measure should be designed. The black and high visibility green combination “nite eye” scheme doesn’t bother my eyes. I kind of like the change. The measurements on the bottom side of the blade would come in handy for vertical measurements or for illustrating distances to someone below you… I’m sure there are other uses for it that I haven’t thought of yet. The belt clip is removable (using a Phillips #0 screwdriver) so that you can fit it into your tape pouch without the clip slicing up your pouch. The ***lock works great! The metal guardrails that protect the lock button is a well thought out feature. I’m very impressed with the overall design of this tape.Cons: The blade feels a bit thin/flimsy, I expected it to feel a little thicker. I would also like to see some type of clear blade armor on at least the first 6”. Aside from the two cons this tape measure is great! If the two cons I listed are a non-issue to you, I would definitely recommend this tape.*Keep in mind that tapes with diamond coated end hooks should be used for rough carpentry and not wise to use on finished surfaces, fine finishes or delicate surfaces.** There’s at least one manufacturer that makes the bottom of their tape measure bodies rounded. The rounded bottom design of other tape bodies makes it difficult to keep them upright while making measurements, horrible design!***I have bought two different tapes recently that the lock either couldn’t prevent the tape from winding in or the lock was difficult to engage/disengage.

Looks great but is a little bit thin
I've been a stanley fat max fan for years now. A buddy on the jobsite came in with this black and yellow tape and i thought it was so gimmicky.... until I could read it from across the room with ease thanks to the both the color, and the horizontal numbers on the BACK of the tape. I was sold. It's a little bit more flexible, which means more liable to break/become creased, especially when compared with the rigidity of a fatmax, but if you're careful it'll hold up at least a year, which is about how long the stanley would last before it ended up in the rain or covered in subfloor glue....

Fundamental Flaw, Great Potential.
I am a professional carpenter and bought this after seeing a positive review online. I also liked how it looked, it was interesting and different. After using it on-site, I discovered the following.1) It is easy to read but the transitional green squares at the footmarks threw me off a little.2) The tape is tough and can extend a long distance if needed, but the recoil is aggressive and can cause minor superficial cuts/scrapes to your hands.3) The hooks, both top and bottom are great but also can be bent easily due to their elongated extension.4) It is robust, and can take a drop or two. The tape itself can scratch easily.5) It has one major flaw -- The metal that connects the hook to the tape on the bottom will often "catch" the wood you are measuring, potentially causing you to cut the wrong measurement. See photos. I'm returning to the FatMax but if this flaw is addressed I'd buy this product again. On the whole, a great new take on an old tool. I really like it, it has a lot of potential. Once this minor flaw is addressed I'll buy it again.I hope this review helps. With some minor engineering adjustments, I foresee this brand being one of the most popular in the near future.

Quality
This is definitely my favorite tape. I work with steel all-day everyday and this is a great quality tape. Feels good and looks good. Metal guards to protect the lock switch and the lock switch works great and is easy to use.

Better than a FatMax if you don't work in the elements
Standout is similar to the 25 ft Fat Max. Incredibly easy to read. Only thing that I would be critical of is the actual tape - at times when standing out to lengths further than 8 ft, it is difficult to hold the tape rigid against a horizontal surface like the top of a door jamb, for example. It seemed to be an awesome tape until I used it during snowfall. I wiped it like I do with other tapes and now every time I go to use it, markings and parts of the tape flake off. It's a great tape if it NEVER sees the elements. Too bad
