These work ok, but be careful!
These work fairly well to catch and mark your queens, but you need to be very careful! I have used this successfully about a dozen times, but have killed/injured 2 queens using them. The sliding trap door can pinch the legs or other body parts fairly easily if you are not paying close attention to where the queen is when closing it. I have had one queen that was small enough to fit through the slits at the end and got out. The foam is adequate to accommodate most queens but if you have a smaller one you need to push fairly hard on lever to push the foam up to immobilize the queen for marking. If you have a larger queen and push too hard, you can crush and/or injure the queen. Don't get me wrong, these do work and in my opinion is less stressful than using bare hands, but you need to be very, very careful not to injure or kill your precious queen when using them! The fact that you get several of them for this price may out-way the risk, but please be very careful when using them!

Great for the new beekeeper!
Very handy! First year of beekeeping since I was young. Just blow on the bees around the queen until she is isolated, carefully place trap over her on some drawn out comb, slowly close the lid, and slowly push her to the top. It pins her in position with the perfect amount of pressure, mark her and pull the pad back down to allow the paint to dry for a few minutes, and then release. FYI the second hive I marked I had looked 3 different inspections, once I finally found her I got nervous and tried to catch her on the side of the frame, well she escaped out the gap on the trap and flew off..... found her ten minutes later on a different frame, be careful and patient! Wait till she is alone and on some drawn out wax!!!!

Very Very Clever Import One-Handed Queen Capture with a lot of upside
Now, I have this one-hand catcher nowWith some practice I expect this catcher to become my favorite overall; It is new to me for now, so I am clumsy with it, but I like the cap-over and then slide-under caging approach. This has a new freedom to it: I can carry this now-captured queen over the the queen muff in this contraption (yes!) for examination or caging and/or clipping and marking. I am now able to handle the queen as little as possible (my preference);I can quickly remove a Queen from a NICOT box, and work my system around a bit, and then re-release her back into the desired bottom deep as I re-assemble my Nicot / Cloake system which is a good bit of work.

Awesome easy to use
This was awesome I try to keep one on hand when working my Russian bees the queens are difficult to find since they are dark so when I do find one whip this out catch her mark and clip her was nervous about damaging the queen but has a built in stopper so you stop before crushing her she still has enough room to move so take your tim applying the mark love this thing don’t know why it took me so long oh it’s also easy to use with bee gloves on

Pretty Good
Came quick. This one handed queen catcher is easy to use. The plastic needs to get broke in some. I recommended opening and closing it quite a few times before trying to catch a queen with it. Other than that it's a handy tool to have as a beekeeper. I've already marked a lot of queens.
