Without question, this collection of essays is about passion, personal growth, commitment, family, and all things Pilates. When I picked up the book I read the essays by teachers I knew first and then moved on to those I did not. I was moved into fits of laughter by Amy Bergesen (one of the editors), into tears by Kathi Ross-Nash, into deep thought of the Pilates method by Ernesto Reynoso, and through all other ranges of emotion with the rest of the authors.Peter Fiasca has given the Pilates community another gift with this book. He brought together the best of the best to share with us their heart and soul and life long journey with Pilates. The editing is excellent, the essays are easily readable and written/edited in a way that the individual 'Voices' shine through.Pilates teachers of all backgrounds should read this book. The rich history, integrity, and spirit of Joe Pilates life work is reflected on and shared in the most complete of ways.

Pilates for me is Health!At 18 years old, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Disease that attacks the hypermobility ligament and muscular hypotonic. Looking for other alternatives found the Authentic Pilates Method.Peter is a fascinating person who led me to change my life!Reading “Voices of Classical Pilates” led me to leave Angola to start the Pilates Certification, with Natasha Madel, in South Africa.Hopefully you will come to South Africa by the time i'll do my exam.Thanks for turning Pilates so thrilling!"

Wow, this book is so many things in one thank to the many different voices within; the stories are inspiring, uplifting, educational, enlightening, heartwarming and funny. I love how many "lightbulb" or "a-ha" moments I had. I love reading what it was like to learn from people I will never get the chance to work with now. This book is a true gift to all of us in the Pilates world and I cannot thank Peter Fiasca enough for compiling these stories for us to all be able to enjoy and learn from. It will be a new favorite that you will return to over and over again !

I was fascinated by this new book and believe it an essential read to anyone connected with the Classical Pilates Work. Of particular interest to me were the contributors who learned the Method in the very early days before Certification programmes. A tribute to Peter Fiasca for putting in all the hard work, in an effort to make this material available to all practitioners,like myself, who otherwise would never have had access to such knowledge. This is what nowadays is referred to as Pilates Further Education.

Peter is a very good Pilates instructor and loves his job. His book is a great experience to learn more about Pilates
