On my 3rd box and going strong
There's not much need for writable discs anymore but some organizations won't accept USBs. We've found the Amazon Basics brand blank DVDs to be good price, sufficient quality and work well with our Dell writer.PROS- cheaper than most- qualityCONS- had a few that wouldn't write correctly but can't say whether it was the writer or disc. Also, a few bad ones out of a few spindles isn't bad anyway.

Good price, good quality
They're blank DVDs, a commodity -- what can I say? They do exactly what they're supposed to do. I've had zero problems recording onto them.I chose these for two reasons: 1) AmazonBasics are reliable. They work, and are a good value for the money. 2) The printing on the disks is not dark and excessive. I use a Sharpie to label my disks once they're recorded. I don't like having to write "around" a big, colored, manufacturer's logo... which most other blank DVDs have these days.I'd absolutely buy them again.

Don't let the name kid you; basics doesn't mean junk
It sounds like that, right? If it's basic, it must be junk. No. These are great disks. The price might make you think, well, if that's all they cost, they're not worth it. They're not expensive, they're dependable, and you can label them. I burn a lot of disks; I bought hundreds of books on mp3 disks and discovered that they were scrambled on those disks. So I had to upload them to my computer and straighten the chapters out and burn them to new disks. Amazon Basics has been my saving grace in this enormous project. They're inexpensive, and they're dependable. In other words, just plan excellent.

If you're one of the three people in America who need DVD-R media, these are for you...
Who uses DVDs any more? Old guys trying to get things off their old MiniDV cameras, that's who. We need discs to make the multi-step transfer to our NASes. First from MiniDV camcorder to an equally old machine that will burn a disc using IEEE1394--Firewire--iLink cable connections. Then, from the burned DVD, to a NUC via an external USB DVD drive. Then, from the NUC to the QNap server. Wow. A load of work. These are the cheapest writable DVDs I could find. They worked just fine.

Excellent product
Don't get duped by expensive name brands. They don't hold data better, they aren't bigger and flashier. They just cost more. This DVD is excellent and is just as good as any other name brand. The only difference is that instead of putting money in their pockets, you'll be keeping it in yours.
