Excellent 4K quality !!
A perfect 4K release. Movie is entertaining. Kids definitely loved this. This 3 discs pack (4K+3D+2D) should be a Collector's Edition but,due to very ordinary packaging (even cover page quality is very thin n poor) we can't consider this as Collector's pack. Poor packaging is minus point here.Got a very nice n attractive Pikachu soft toy with this pack. Full points to Excel for included this in 4K edition. Hindi dubbing is just ok. Overall must buy movie for all Pokemon/Pikachu Fanz.

Loved the glossy steelbook!
The steelbook looks lovely and I am happy to confirm that the design and finish are all identical to the BestBuy version retailing in USA. It has a glossy finish and looks gorgeous in hand. No embossing or debossing on the front or back, though. It has two discs, one 3D disc and another regular 2D disc.As of now, the 4K and steelbook variants of the film are being delivered with a bonus Pikachu plush, which looks decent and the size is perfect. No pre-order bonus disc was delivered, though. This toy does make up for it to an extent. Will update this review in the next few weeks, once I check out the actual contents on the discs.Update: The 3D looks gorgeous, with excellent depth and occasional pop-outs. Both the discs include the Hindi audio option, among several other languages. No Telugu or Tamil, though.I felt that the special features could've been laid out better. Majority of the extras are part of the "Detective Mode", which is a Picture-in-Picture commentary. If selected, it plays clips in tiny windows while the movie runs in the background. Also, there's a 20-minute making-of-documentary. Everything else was either fairly short or almost pointless. They were fun, nonetheless. There's also an alternate opening included. Here's the complete list of extras:Detective Mode: PiP mode with information related to the making, few interviews, the source material and some Easter eggs.Creating the World: approx 20 mins, includes some more interviews and behind the scenes footage. My Pokemon Adventure: 2 minsMr. Mime's Audio Commentary: 3 mins, it is exactly what it sounds like.Carry On Music Video: 3 minsAlternate Opening: 2 mins, features a scene with Rob Delaney ("Peter" from Deadpool 2), who works with Tim in insurance. This scene has decent humour but it's different from the tone of the rest of the film. Glad they left it as an extra.Outside the Actor's Studio: 2 mins, a short montage featuring Ryan Reynolds. Works like a mockumentary.I've attached few pics of the steelbook and the toy for reference.

Good but if you're not a Pokemon fan you'll be a bit lost
Impulse buy but I haven't regretted watching it. Overall this is a good movie for young people (as Ryan Reynolds doesn't swear like he usually does for his adult-centric film roles). I think you'd have to have a fairly good knowledge of Pokemon beforehand as this film doesn't explain what they are or why they exist. As a newcomer who hasn't played the games or watch the cartoons, and after watching this film, I'm still not sure what their function is or why people have them. I don't think they are portrayed as pets but something more intrinsic or essential. I've seen the Golden Compass movie and the people in that world have animals that accompany them as deamons, and a person who does not have a deamon is seen as some kind of unnatural freak. So here the main character (Tim Goodman) is looked upon as unfathomable and weird because he does not have a pokemon by choice. Other than this bizarrely unaddressed issue, the story is entertaining and almost matches "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" in its similarity with the 'Who dunnit' mystery plot. I bought the Special Edition and the bonus disc has a few behind-the-scenes documentaries but nothing indepth about the film-making process really.

The Digital Code is region-locked to the US
Great movie and it arrived quickly for Christmas. The only complaint I had wasn’t the digital download code didn’t work in my region (Canada) despite it being purchased on amazon.ca. Found this with another blu-Ray set I received for Christ (Batman the animated series). Despite being purchased on the Canadian site the digital code wasn’t locked to the US. Keep this in mind if you really want the digital version alongside your blu-ray.

Good but a bit damaged...
Got this movie for my boyfriend, loves it. It arrived quickly but the only thing I'm not too happy about is that the cardboard protector sleeves was a bit chipped and bent... Makes the movie not look completely brand new...
