Using a menstrual cup definitely takes some getting used to—you have to be open to understanding your body and prepared for things to get a little messy the first few times. But by the third month, I truly got the hang of it and now I wouldn’t go back. It’s comfortable, reliable, and has saved me so much money. Plus, it feels good to make a choice that’s better for the environment.

I ordered this cup after doing some research and I am more than happy with the results thus far. I have only used it for a little less than 24 hours though, so my feelings may change but as of now I am thrilled!I have heavy periods, would use 4-6 super tampons in a 12 hour period, and don’t get me started about having to change tampons when you urinate because the string would soak up urine…with this cup, I don’t have to worry about that!I feel my hygiene during my cycle has improved with this. I’m experiencing less painful cramping and love the idea of not using tampons with toxins and carcinogens, and creating less waste!After my cycle, depending on how the rest of it goes, I may order a couple more!I wore it over night for my first try, and no leaking! I would typically wear a super plus tampon, and 2 pads to bed and still bleed through, but this morning - no bleeding through!Absolutely happy with this purchase.Edit: soon after I posted this review, I had bled through. Granted I was using this for the first time on a heavy day. I ended up having to empty the cup twice within a matter of 12 hours. I bled through my pants, at work :( I tried wearing the cup that night as my flow had lightened but I felt it was uncomfortable, or could have been just knowing I had it inserted. I did buy the smaller cup as it was my first time trying one of them, could have also contributed to the bleed through, etc. I did have a good first experience with it, I will try it again for my next cycle, but will definitely be wearing reusable period underwear “just in case.” I will update my review after next cycle to see if I have better luck with it.

This is the only cup you should consider. God bless the people who designed the ring at the end and the suction release.I have literally spent 5+ minutes before trying to fish other "traditional" cups out. So buy this one so you can actually take it out of you without having a meltdown.

Okay, i’m not someone who writes reviews, but I would have loved someone to detail a few things I just had to figure out on my own. First, i tried the regular period cup that doesn't really have anything to hang onto and it was damn near impossible for me to remove, scaring me enough to avoid using one for 3 years. Second, i HATE tampons in the pool, i find that they absorb water and then leak into my clothes. So I was really trying to find an alternative for that and in general if I liked it. This product is awesome, the pull tab is a must. I gave it 4 stars only because insertion can be a bit tricky just because the cup obviously doesn't want to be folded which when in, is a good thing. Also its a learning curve in regards to how much you need ti change it depending on the stage of your period. Some people say they can change these in public, I COULD NEVER. So if your having a heavy day and wont be home for an extended period, I would say maybe go your traditional route.

I'm honestly shocked at how well this has worked for me! I have a tilted uterus which lead me to believe discs likely wouldn't work for me. I still need to try the two included in this kit to see if they will, but for this last cycle because life was being chaotic I decided to just go ahead and use what I knew for sure would work which was the cup. I have a light day, a medium day, and then a noah's ark kind of day, and I was really worried about how this would hold up to the flood. I was really scared that I would have a backup and then get an infection like how you can get a UTI from not going to the bathroom enough, but shockingly even when we went out, did some shopping, saw a movie, and got back home, with regular pads and tampons I would have bled through an ultra tampon and filled up my pad after all of that but the cup still had a good either inch or 3/4's of an inch at the top, it wasn't full! I was also terrified of sleeping with it, I thought for sure I was going to bleed through or just have a massive backup and end up not like the blueberry girl, but the raspberry girl instead, but I checked it first thing in the morning and same thing happened, had at least 3/4 of an inch of space at the top of it! I have also had some leaking with it, either from me moving around or from where the pull tab threads through the middle of the cup (or both?), not as much as I have had with bleeding through conventional tampons, but I am a bit bummed that I will still have to buy and wear pads or at the very least panty liners (maybe I will invest in reusable period panties...?) It's still an insane improvement, I'm sure you can gather from my review that I go through insane amounts of menstrual products, I'm sooo looking forward to the money savings from using this product!
