Star Wars The Vintage Collection Imperial TIE Fighter

I LOVE that this TIE Fighter has film-accurate scaling to the 3.75" figures. With the corrected wing/solar cell panels-to-cockpit ratio they've made a very eye-catching piece.The interior of the cockpit is highly detailed and includes a flexible steering yoke and some monitors and panels.There is a removable ejection seat which features sculpted seat cushions, a clip that holds the pilot in the seat, and on the backside is a small thruster.The included TIE Fighter Pilot has multiple points of articulation and a blaster. You know, for when some rebellious angsty teen in an X-Wing inevitably blasts the solar panels off of the Tie Pilot's ride.This version (as several of the latest iterations) has done away with the battery box of the older versions as there are no electronics in this toy. The tradeoff is that it now looks like the versions in the movies and has the engine port sculpted on the rear of the pod.Overall I fully believe that you or the person you're gifting this to will be 100% satisfied with an amazing example of the toymaker's art. I like it so much I bought two!

I got this toy for my grandson. My son and I have been indoctrinating him on the ways of the force and been gifting him with vintage toys, videos and comic books as well as regular books. So far he is enjoying everything but sometimes I don't know who I am gifting the toys to. I see my son playing with the toys as soon as my grandson is tired of playing with them. But I do the same when I visit and see the toys myself. We are a Star Wars family and recite lines from the movies while we are playing with my grandson. This toy is a good vintage toy and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in Star Wars.

AMAZING! I can’t believe it was so inexpensive, especially when compared to other TVC series toys. The proportions of the solar panels and the body are scaled accurately. When put on, the panels are a little wobbly, but not terribly, and they’re easy to reassemble when “blown” off. The TIE Fighter pilot is also detailed well. A great addition for Star Wars collectors!

These are fantastic but flawed TiE Fighters! They look amazing and the scale is perfect! They are incredibly accurate with the true to scale wings. These are the only ones that have correct scale sized wings but that brings a problem. The wings eject to simulate them blowing up but the mechanism to hold the wings is ridiculously fragile. The retaining latch WILL break on every single one of these produced. Mine broke while it was just sitting on the shelf and I had only popped the wings off once. I bought another one and it was already broken when I opened the box. I am going to modify mine or look for aftermarket part replacements to fix it. Still worth getting one because they look awesome! Who actually wants their TiE fighters to fall apart? I sure don't!

This is a Very Impressive looking Tie Fighter. Its also a great Price. It has 1 Design Flaw is that the springs that hold the wings on are too week and they will fall off after awhile. I will never take them off so I took the Springs out and glued them in place and it looks Fantastic

The wings are like the original and that means they are weak and do not hold their own weight. I put this on my fridge and loved it. Three months after putting it there I had to mover it and it instantly broke just moving it. It was on a part with a spring so I couldn't even glue it together because the spring pushed it out from a tiny plastic hook that broke off. The hooks should have been metal to hold up to the strain. My OG Darth Vader Tie fighter was tougher.

Great collectors item and it’s huge but it isn’t like the original vintage one even though it says vintage on the box. The original made the screeching sound like they did on the movies this one does not nor do the cannons light like the original.
