CK Products Luster Dust, Nu Silver/43-1240, 2 Gram

I got this product to use for fondant decoration, Thor's hammer to be exact. I am so happy with the look, what a beautiful finish :) This was also used to shade some other fondant decorations and worked really well. A little goes a long way, just buff it in and voila, really looking metal finish. I am very pleased with the purchase. One less star as it was really a let down that it is not edible, since I used it on fondant cake toppers. Try explaining to a 5 year old that he cannot eat Thor's hammer that he had been looking fwd to doing :(,Apart from this.. its a great way to get metallic finish.. I will continue using it for decoration purposes.

The silver luster dust gives off a beautiful sheen. The colors are more prominent when wetting the dust versus a dry cover, but nice either way you choose to do your project. Don't be fooled by the small container; a little goes a very long way! If you choose to use this product In an airbrush machine, be aware that it may clog your needle if it's a small one. I premixed my dust with extract/vodka and put it into a squeeze bottle. This works pretty well because you can shake and mix the dust up each time you want to put some in the airbrush cup.

This gives a nice silver shimmer to candy coating. I was hoping the color would be a little more intense. I tried brushing on several layers, and trying with water to make the color more silver, but I couldn't quite get it as bold as I wanted it to.

I've seen one too many cake shows where the baker is using luster dust. This is my first time purchasing luster dust ever. The container clearly states - Non-toxic. Do not consume.Well, is this the case for ALL luster dust or just this brand? I really like the way you can apply it. Dry or mix with lemon juice. It looks great! I just wish I had purchased one that could be consumed (assuming such product exists).

Great metallic dust! I used it to cover some chocolate millennium falcons for my son’s cake. It is a tiny jar but a lot goes a long way. Will be ordering the gold dust soon!
