costume is light weight and and well sized. But has enough elasticity that it works well over thin pajamas but still functions OVER a winter coat. The wings and stinger are attached well so my rough and tumble 4 year old did not destroy it through three different days of halloween activities. The headpiece is a cheap and not up to the quality of the rest of the costume. The hat is a bit small my son could not comfortabley wear the chin strap. And the pom poms came off the antenna easily. And the pipe cleaner holding up the antenna is a bit flimsy so it flopped around a lot. But still my son loved this costume so much I still give it 5 stars.

I bought this for a Christmas pageant that I needed some sort of bug costume for. I was going to make something, but with the way this is priced, it was cheaper and ultimately much better time wise just to buy it.My son is a solid six and weighs 54 pounds. He is also quite tall for a 4 year old. The costume fits over his chest fine with enough room that it still puffs out in the shape of the picture. The shoulders of the costume are like spaghetti straps and they have velcro, but I didn't need to open the velcro to get the costume on my son. The costume comes down just past his behind which works well because the stinger is in the right place.I am taking a point off for the hat. It fits my son's head, but there is no way I would connect the strap under his chin because it would be too tight. The antenna are just basically pipe cleaners with a pom pom at the top and they don't really stay up that well. The wings are netting that isn't stiffened in any way so it just sort of puffs off the back.All in all it is still cute and worth the price I paid especially considering it saved me from 20 hours in my sewing room obsessing over creating some sort of bumblebee masterpiece for a 10 minute recital.

Super cute for a great price. Can be used for a few years because of the fit...not too big but plenty of room to grow. Super easy on and off.

This little bee costume is adorable! I got it for my 4 yr old grandson as a reward. He had told me he wanted to be a bee. Lol what a hit. The price was good ' the quality is excellent. I personally wouldn't mind being stung by this cute little bee. I am postin a picture so you can see what it looks like. I ordered a small which fits most children ages 3-6.

Nice costume. I used the larger size to go over my 2-year-old's coat and it worked perfectly. The main costume is made of good-quality fabric and is easy to put on. We did not use the hat and the wings as we had other (better) accessories. These latter items seemed a bit flimsy (hence by 4-star rating), but I was still very happy with the costume overall.

This costumed worked out FANTASTICALLY for my 3 year old son. Easy and comfortable to wear. He received tons of compliments. :) I loved that I could dress him in warm clothes underneath and it was still very obvious that he was a bee. :) The wings attached the costume were sort of lackluster so we opted to have him wear additional wings on top of this costume. It worked out perfectly. :)

I ordered this for my 4 1/2 year old boy as it was really the only bee costume I could find that might fit him. The kids are all being bugs for Halloween. It is fine for the price, but I was disappointed b/c we have a hand-me-down ladybug costume (probably from about 6 years ago) that looks virtually the same, and I expected it to be like that costume. The ladybug is actually a little better quality. The ladybug ties at the shoulders, and the head piece also ties at the bottom and has a big more fabric to it. It's also marked for size 2--6 and is a little wider and longer. The bee is smaller than I would have liked but will work fine. It has very small velcro strips at the shoulders that do not stay closed. The costume doesn't stay on well at all (I will pin it for trick-or-treat or sew on a ribbon) and the headpiece is skimpy in size. The antennae don't really stand up but they are OK. You get the idea of what they are. The stinger is just a plain flap of velvety fabric, not "3D" at all. All in all, it's cute enough and will work out just fine, but it's not the greatest costume ever. Seems like they are cutting corners. But hey, it is a whole costume for less than $15, so I suppose you get what you pay for. My son is about 42" tall and about 37 pounds. He's in between a 4T and 5T. It fits him okay (slighter shorter than the picture) but if he were much taller I don't know if I would like it. It would become more of a bee shirt than a tunic.

It fits my 35 pound 3 year old, with room to putnit over a coat. The hat is a bit snug. Seems durable enough tho.
