Sufix832 Braid 40 lb Ghost 300 yards

I accidentally snagged and was able to reel in a massive paddlefish in flowing water using 40lb version of this line. Using a surfcasting reel, I am able to cast farther with my 10' 6" rod than people using 13-14' rods. I have used multiple braid lines and found that these performed the best.Here are a few factors one must consider when deciding to use braid fishing lines:-if you plan on using braid on a baitcaster, you should use 50lb or higher rating lines. Due to their small diameter and fabric-like characteristics, smaller braid lines tends to dig into itself when tension is applied to the line.-certain spinning reel and rod combination are notorious for getting wind knots (which result from the braid knotting into itself during a cast). Most newer reel and rod combination does not have a significant issue with this but it is a factor to consider when using braid on an old reel.-braid line has little to no stretch. This is great for an increased in bite sensitivity but do not be too quick to set the hook and do not set the hook too hard as all the forces are almost immediately transferred to the hook.-braid line are easier to be detected by fish so consider using a fluorocarbon leader in certain situations

I love this line. I have used spiderwire. Power pro. And a few other braids. This is my favorite. Round, smooth, Does not fray as bad as others. last very well. I generally fish freshwater vegetation. This is my first purchase of white for saltwater

This line is very smooth and strong! I purchased the 40# test in white easy to see. The diameter of the line is thin and allows for more line on your reel. I just caught a shark from a pier and had no problem reeling it in. Nice fight from fish. I will definitely purchase again!

You just cannot beat suffix braid in my opinion. I have been using suffix for 7 or 8 seasons now and it is the best braided line I have used. It has nearly no break in period, which means more fishing and less wind knots! if anyone asks me what type of braid to get I always recommend suffix over other brands. This isn't to say there aren't other brands that have similar quality, but this line comes at a medium price range and is a top runner in braided line.

Definitely worth the value, smooth casting, haven't got to test it on big fish 50# plus yet, we shall see. Recommend purchase.

So far this is my favorite braid. Very good knot strength. The line is durable and doesn't seem to fray as much as some of the other lines. The ghost color seems to hold up better than the other colors.
