Rapper's Delight: The Hip Hop Cookbook

Bought this to put in a white elephant gift exchange at Christmas with friends and included a set of 4 ramekins to make the LL Souffle from the cookbook. It was stolen a few times during the white elephant gift exchange after it was opened, so I call that a success! Obviously, I didn't make any of the recipes as it was a gift, but they sounded great when I flipped through it when it arrived. The recipe names are hilarious. I'm a pretty well-seasoned cook, but it didn't seem like the recipes were too difficult (there was a difficulty level noted for each recipe) nor did it seem that the ingredients would be too hard to find.

This cookbook is hysterical. We don't cook as much as we should in our house so we started looking at cookbooks with simple recipes and came across this one. The meals are beginner/intermediate cooking level, they taste good and have a little of everything. The book is also just funny, that's the best part. Only downfall is it's small, but I prefer medium/big cookbooks, so it's a really just a preference.

The cookbook arrived. It’s much smaller than I expected. And while the illustrations are nice it would have been better to have pictures of the food dishes of the receipts. The receipts aren’t anything that I would cook. So this cookbook was pointless to me.

This book is so PUNNY! I love it lol. It makes for a great gift that is both silly and practical. The names of the recipes and the illustrations are a riot! Some of the recipes are a little unusual but I see where they had to reach to make they names work.

Way smaller than I imagined. It’s like half the size of an actual book.

I got this for my husband for his birthday. He got a good giggle out of it. The recipes are pretty simple and it's just a fun gift to give.

I loved it. the recipes weren't anything crazy or too complicated and basically just added a hip hop themed name to regular recipes. It would have been cooler if these were researched as being the favorites of each of the individual rappers/groups.The real highlight of the book is it being a medium to show off the artwork which is really nicely composed.

I should have looked at the dimensions, but when it arrived it was much smaller than I had expected. Much smaller. That doesn't really matter though unless you are hoping to lay the book out when you are, oh I don't know....cooking. Its so compact that it will be difficult to keep the book open to the page you are on without cracking the binding all the way open. I get that it is a novelty item...but it is a useful novelty item with actual recipes that honestly do look really good!

I bought the book as a stocking filler for my brother. It has gone down very well and in addition to being amusing he has also enjoyed a few meals- Run DM sea bass is his fave!

Funny present

Bought for a friend who loves hip-hop and rap but doesn't own a cooking book!?The artwork and puns are brilliant, the recipes aren't too bad either! Anyone fancy some Snoop stroganoff or Public Enemiso soup?!

Great little cookbook with amazing illustrations but arrived damaged and dirty! Can’t send it back as it’s a birthday present and won’t be able to order another one in time

Well worth a read even if not going to cook anything!
