ASUS VS207T-P 19.5" HD+ 1600x900 DVI VGA Back-lit LED Monitor,Black

I work home office full time, and I prefer two monitors to one giant one. I also work fairly close to the monitors, so I am better off with reasonable size ones eg 19" so it doesn't feel like I'm in the front seat of an Imax. I would be willing to invest more than these cost, but I assumed if these were fine I'm set. The monitors seem very good quality, but like others have said, there are probably some brands at double the price that might seem better if viewed side by side.GOOD: I was impressed by the fact these monitors are quite light, much lighter than the 19" burned out old Viewsonic I am replacing. They have built in power supplies, so only a light generic power cable is required. They not only have both VGA and DVI cable plugs, BUT they box comes with each type of cable as well - that really surprised me. The plugs point straight backwards, which isn't good if you have them flush to a wall, but, it is good because they're much easier to handle than those sockets that are deep in the base of the screen and upside down. At this price it was easy to get a pair of monitors and not have to cope with mix/match of a pair. I use a recent model Lenovo laptop with Win10 and a Lenovo 3.0 (small box) Docking Station and setup for the two DVI monitors was very fast with the Displaylink software that comes with the Lenovo USB 3.0 docking station.BAD: My only complaint, like most modern screens, they have a very long letterbox format (1600x900, almost 2:1). I work mostly in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, so the top ribbon of controls takes the top several inches of the screen, and there's not as much space below for the document itself.

This is a glorious monitor. I picked it up primarily as a media-viewing side monitor (my main is a 32" HDTV, which is useful to me due to a visual disability). The color is excellent, absolutely top notch in terms of richness and sharpness. Additionally, the menus are easy to navigate, setup was a breeze (i.e., plug it in and it works), and the base was super easy to attach.If Asus made a 28-32" computer monitor (as opposed to an HDTV which generally has worse color), I would buy it, no questions asked. Extremely happy with this product.

Until I got this new one! I am by no means really tech savy. I honestly had no idea which monitor to get based on all the choices. I just knew what size I was looking for and what price range I wanted. I will have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how crystal clear the picture is on this monitor. So either my old one was just really dirty or this one is just that much better. My only small complaint is that the monitor rocks slightly back and fourth while typing and I wish there was a way to minimize that, but other than that I am happy with the monitor.

I bought this monitor because I've had good experiences with Asus laptops and I was not disappointed. The only some draw back was that it did not come with HDMI output, but I was able to find a good adapter. I am WFH and this works great with my mac book air. I have also purchased a another adapter to convert to HDMI for my Windows laptops. Great price for a great monitor!

I bought one of these for my home office when the pandemic hit and when it was apparent no one was going back to the office any time soon. I've had it for two weeks now and I've used it for 9 hours M-F every week. So far, it's been a great screen. It was a bit too bright out of the box but after playing with the brightness and the contrast a bit I got it down to a point where it's easy to work with. Love the size and the wide screen on it. Haven't used it for gaming or movies and I'm not convinced it would be good for either purpose but for simple work needs it's great, especially when considering the price point. My only complaint is the lack of HDMI port. I had to buy a HDMI to VGA adapter to get the screen to connect to my laptop.I'm probably going to buy two more of these screens pretty soon.

My PC drivers needed to be updated to recognize my TV as a monitor so I needed an actual monitor to see what I was doing. This monitor is basic and worked well for what I needed.

Overall, this unit is great for the price. Very rich colors, deep blacks. I was using a Dell monitor that was 1080p and was barely half as impressive in picture quality. Like some reviews have stated, there is some light bleed on the left side, but the only time I've taken notice is when watching videos that are 4:3, and even then it's fairly negligible. The base is also not weighted like some have mentioned, so when you are using the buttons or adjusting the tilt you have to hold the unit steady. Obviously, for 95 bucks you're going to have to expect some cut corners, but it's a monitor so the main focus is the picture quality which is amazing at the price point. I definitely look forward to upgrading to a higher end display from Asus in the future.

Monitor is default VGA but I'm trying to use DVI and it won't let me switch inputs. Screen goes blank after powering on and non of the other buttons work so I can't switch. I had to use a DVI to VGA converter so I could use the monitor which is ridiculous since it has a DVI port.

My old monitor is 39 watts - way too hot to use in a heat wave. This one is only 11 Watts and really made a difference! I don't feel like I'm sitting in front of a furnace anymore. The tilt feature is great, it is the perfect size for my desk and has super picture quality! Love it!

Much better than anticipated, came a day early, was a very fast and easy setup, came with all the cords I need it, and looks great turned on.

No problem encountered after it was hooked and used.

I am delighted with this refurbished monitor. It set up easily and looks like new. The screen delivers crisp, sharp images and the colours are far more accurate than my old monitor. - which sits next to the acer, hooked up to an older desktop. Comparing the two monitors in action makes me very happy to give a 5 star rating to the Asus refurb.
