Monster! #2 Paperback – February 20, 2014

The writing is stellar. In this issue they take on "The Monster of Piedras Blancas" and really do it justice. They gather little known facts, bit and pieces and weave it together into a great article on a little known, but much loved film.I purchased Issues #1 through #8 and have started devouring them at a rapid pace.My only gripe is that these are true 'zines. They're less than 6" x 9", and crammed full of great writing, so the font is small. Very small. I understand this is to capture the feel of the 'zines from the early years, but man, I would LOVE for this magazine to be available in PDF or other digital format, because it's killin' my eyes!Great product, small print, but well worth the effort. Guess until they come out in a different format, I'll have to get a magnifying glass from amazon and carry on. These issues are full of those B+W nightmares that haunted out TV sets in the early 60s after their drive in runs flashed by. I found this one particularly fun because of the cover story. But the cover does not matter. Every issue is a treasure trove of trivia and surprising back stories. Cannot get enough!

B Movie Fan. Monster of Piedras Blancas is an old favorite and they do a good extensive piece on it here. Also a little coverage on another guilty pleasure, Invasion of the Saucer Men. Glad these "grind house" style "magazines" are coming back.

Tim Paxton revives his old zine from the 90's and gives it a very professional look. This zine only reviews movies from around the world with monsters in them (many you never heard of before), so this is an essential purchase for monster film fans.

One of the best publications out there! If you are a fan of everything monster, from the well known to the obscure and/or foreign, this is for you.

Bought this issue because the Monster of Piedras Blancas is one of my favorites! Fab issue! Bought all the rest! Can't wait for the AUGUST issue! Great job guys!
