Works great, impressed by the quality
I needed a reflector for my 1992 Toyota Pick-up because I didn't want the sun to ruin my dash over time. I hesitantly bought this after seeing mixed reviews. The first thing I noticed when I got it was the high quality of the product. For as cheap as it was, and as "made-in-China" as it was, I was shocked at how well constructed it seemed. As far as functionality goes, it really reflects the sun well- you can feel the heat radiating off it, and at just the right angle, you can't even look at it. I have been using it daily now for quite a while, and it's everything I needed it to be. I have not experienced any degradation in quality (although I've only had it a few months), and it fits my windshield perfectly. Looking back on it now, I think the reason this thing got such mixed reviews was not because the product was bad, but because people over-estimated how big it was. The product itself is great, especially for the price. Look at the picture I posted, and make your best judgement as to whether you should get the standard one or the Jumbo one. My Toyota has a pretty small windshield.PS: The thing I like the least about it is that the product contains lead (a warning sticker came with the packaging). I don't know how normal this is with these things, maybe it's super common, but it was a little surprising. I'm just going to assume it's only in small amounts, and only on the inside (not outside) of the product.UPDATE: As of 2014 November 28, over two years after purchasing it, the product is still in good shape and works well. I have not noticed any degradation in quality. I use it mildly.

Fits even full size pick-ups
I buy one of these every couple of years. If you take care of them they will last but the silver coating starts peeling from the hot sun usually after about 6 months. I live in Florida where the heat will ruin your interior and crack your dashboard so these are essential. Although it will not outright stop the heat from building in the vehicle, it will reduce the damaging glare of the sun. I also have window tinting on my side windows so I even leave this in during the night and then people cannot see inside my vehicle to find things to steal. I have a full sized pickup truck with a huge windshield and it covers it but read my tip below.USER TIP from me of course : After a while these will sag and not stay up. I got double sided velcro tape and put a piece on each end of the shade and a piece on each side of my trucks flip down visors. When you pull the visor down line up your velcro and the shade will not fall until you release it.

Does what it's supposed to, and good price.
It's too big for my '01 Lexus ES300. I should have measured it first. So I close up the end flaps and it's sort of OK. The smaller one is too small. But you can't beat this price, and it's good quality so just measure your windshield before buying. Want to tell you something else which I've never encountered before. Our community recently got new macadam streets. After that I found a tar-like black substance on the bottom of my leather pocketbook. I thought YIKES I put it on wet macadam! Then I found stains of it on my car's leather interior and carpet. And then on my carpet in my house! I used a good leather cleaner and it would not come out. What was going on?? Turns out that I must have had (before I bought these) an old one. Well, the heat melted the insulation which is a tar-like substance and the foil ripped. So don't bend these too much because I think the same thing will happen. Nothing would get it out and wound up getting my car detailed. Just be careful you're not careless with taking these off and putting them on your windshield. They look indestructible but once torn are monsters. Handle w/care.

Cheap but disintegrates over time
This is a cheap product that does exactly what you'd hope. The material basically feels like the air bubble packing material that is often used to ship delicate objects, except it's painted silver. The problem is the outer edge is surrounded by something that feels suspiciously like paper. After six months of use in the windscreen, this stuff starts to disintegrate, leaving a white powder in my car. It's not a big deal, since the thing still works just fine. Just indicative of a low quality (but very cheap!) product. To put it another way, I'll probably buy another, unless I see something substantially better AND just as lightweight, which seems like it would be a challenging combination.Oh, one last thing: this product comes in two sizes. This one is the one for compact cars/small windscreens. For full size vehicles/trucks, you might want the bigger one. There is a photo of the back of the packaging, which says which size works with which car for all current and many past cars/trucks on this product page.

Nice for the price, Get the right size
Nicely made for the price and I got free shipping. It is sturdy, folds up and secures with an elastic. It was too small for my 94 Saturn SL1, so I had to get the Jumbo. Sorry I threw away the wrappers, because it listed which cars need which size, but I remember most Saturns need the Jumbo. I kept this shade, because it is a good insulator. I use it in my trunk, to cover the cooler used for frozen and dairy when I shop in the hot summer. Only one complaint, it is reflective on both sides so when I am installing it in the windshield, the side facing me reflects the sun right into my eyes. You learn quickly how not to do that. It makes it work better so I can't complain. Not made in USA

Really hard to drive with this...
I love this product. It keeps my car nice and cool, BUT I will say that the only defect I have found so far is that it is very hard to drive with this on. I have had over 5 wrecks since I purchased it.After my first fender bender, I decided it was best to roll down the window and stick my head out to see the road, but even that is hard because my eyes and mouth dry out very quickly. Since then, I have purchased some swimming goggles and a snorkel which has helped out tremendously during long drives.Overall I would recommend this product, but only for those who are good at driving without being able to see the road.

Used for camping
I use this as a reflective mat to lay on while camping, it does a great job at keeping me warm in the hammock. As soon as you sit on it your heat reflects back and you feel like you are on a heated pad.I imagine it would do a great job for what it is intended for as well

Ok
It is definitely wide enough for my 2014 Lancer but is roughly a feet short for the height to block the whole windshield and no suction cup or whatsoever to hold it in place, otherwise price is decent and quality is alright.
