Tough and heavy chain for securing items. Bought to run through motorcycle wheels (since it has a cloth barrier) and a post.

Purchased 2 Predator Generators for when we take our Airstream camping sans electricity. I use this in combination with an Abus lock to secure two gens and a gas can. I researched this extensively as one is merely buying seconds from a determined thief with an angle grinder, but, nonetheless, this is the best reasonable choice for someone without a financial limitation as to cost. Bolt cutter thieves will be greatly hampered by the superior quality of this chain and an Abus lock

Long enough to snake through both wheels along with an immovable anchor.Defines heavy duty chain links...did I mention 'heavy' weight although that comes with high security territory. Money well spent for peace of mind w.r.t. bike security.

This chain is SO well made! It’s heavy, the cover is fantastic! It was worth the money for a lot of peace of mind. I don’t need to lock my bike often but when I do I’m comfortable with this chain. It works very well.

A criminal bandit tried to steal my golf cart a couple months ago. I had a marina type boat cable flex lock that I weaved through the front tires and anchored to my garage. On my security camera recording, I watched the bandit cut right through the cable within seconds. Luckily he wasn’t able to figure out how to hot wire the thing so took off. Now comes this beast of a security chain. It’s heavy and thick and the looks of it screams go away. The weakest point will be the padlock so I bought a heavy duty harden steel padlock that’s 10 rated. The chain link is a nice size so I’m able to loop it through both front tires and padlock it to the center where there is a wielded heavy duty towing loop I connected everything together. If someone wants to remove the chain, they would need essentially a cutting torch to either cut the chain or the padlock. Having this heavy gauge security chain makes me feel confident that potential thieves will have second thoughts. I do recommend this if you want something that’s really easy to loop and be tough nut to crack. Just make sure you get at least Rated 10 security padlock or having this chain will defeat the purpose.

This thing is HEAVY! I have no doubt that my bikes are well protected with this chain and the length is perfect for 3 bikes locked together. ABUS does it again!

Great chain, however the holes are not big enough for a u lock to fit. You would need a smaller lock like a master lock or any combination locks for it to fit inside the links.

After using this chain for a while I'll update my comment. Expensive but a very nice piece of chain. The links are elongated so one end link can be fit through the other at the ends. If you want it shorter you will have to grind off the extra links. I think you will have to take to a mechanical or welding shop for that. I can wrap it around the post to get it short enough. Regular bolt cutters or hacksaw are not a threat, unless the criminal has lots of time and patience. Very tough and the cover is holding up well in the sun and rain and snow and ice.Another update. Depending on how much room you have for the chain it is possible to slip any link through the end link. I could not do this when locking a door as there was barely room to fit the chain and lock but when using it to lock something to a post I found I could pull it tight and put any link through the end link (after removing the cover which I didn't want to do unlike I damaged it) and still fit the shackle of the Abus 37/80 Granit. I would still grind off links to fit if I was only using it at that length but that isn't the only option if you have the room.

Excellent, strong and heavy chain at a very reasonable price. I like that the end link is a slightly different size to allow it to pass through the other end (so that the padlock only has to secure one chain link). It might not be THE hardest chain out there (Pewag tractor snow chain seems to be the best) but this will certainly act as a strong deterrent to most thieves. I use it with a SOBO padlock to secure by bike in my garage at home. I wouldn't want to carry it anywhere as it is not exactly portable and very heavy.

Sturdy chain, perfect for locking your bike in a garage. If you are looking for somehting you can carry, this is too heavy to move around, not something you can put in your backpack for a ride.

Paid less than $48 for this chain at the time. An amazing deal for a 12mm thick name brand security chain. Obviously if the thief has an angle grinder and time then this won't do much but it should stand up against reasonably size bolt cutters. So cheap I bought 2!
