Used to stabilise some heavy furniture
I've used some of these under the front of a tall, heavy filing cabinet that was leaning forward a bit on my not-entirely-level floor. Now the filing cabinet is properly vertical, and I don't feel slightly nervy when I stand in front of it! I just pushed the cabinet back a bit at the top, so that it leaned backwards slightly, then inserted a few wedges at the bottom-front, then let the weight of the filing cabinet come back down on them, then gently hammered the wedges so that their thick ends were flush with the front of the cabinet. Job done.
