This thing is mint! Good for a sewer that goes places to sew. It will fit on a small table and it’s everything you need so functional for cutting and ironing squares when you’re making quilts. I did not notice a smell. Value is swell. And the handle is perfect. It is a bit heavy okay so just fore warned. I do think it’s the coolest thing ever easily folds up for storing and I bought a small ruler that fits right in the case for travel. My mom is taking it to a craft weekend with her gal pals and she takes it to church with the quilters for her corner. The ironing pad is thick nice quality! So far so good ! And I bought this cute iron to go with it as well so my mom can take with her and she has everything except the sewing notions that she needs to quilt with her buddies!! Great for at home as it prevents getting out all your stuff for a small project like a baby blanket or purse, apron etc..

Would order again practical and convenient. Nice size that's fits right into your sewing machine case.

The functionality is just what I was expecting. It is the perfect travel size for class. You get value and durability. It is not a bulky product, it is the right size. Highly recommend purchasing this item for class or your sewing room.

Product dimensions listed are correct: 13x19. But that is the closed or "folded" size. I had mistakenly thought that was the open "working" size. So I was expecting something much smaller than what I received. The cutting mat is 12x18. The ironing pad is also 12x18. When this thing is open, it measures 19"x26". Just make sure you have room for something this size. It velcro's closed, and has a nice handle for carrying. It will be great for taking to classes. But it's actually too big for me to use next to my sewing machine, which would have been nice. I do like it though, and maybe I'll order the smaller 8x11 size, as well.Update: I've only had this thing for a week, and I am SO in LOVE with it! No room on my table, so I just toss it on the bed and cut some fabric without dragging out the big, heavy mat, or iron my fabric without dragging out the ironing board. So cool. What a time saver. Ironing pad is stable so iron doesn't wobble, and is thick enough that you don't have to worry about the hot iron damaging the bed/table/floor it's sitting on. It folds up and takes up NO space when I'm not using it. Don't want to be without this thing! (I purchased the little Sunbeam Hot-2-Trot mini-iron to use with it. Together they've made my life so much easier!) Now, I'm going to make a case for them.UPDATE: I've had this over 10 years, and I still use it regularly. It has warped a bit (which mostly affects rulers laying flat) and I've thought of replacing it, but it still works so well, I may not. I think perhaps ironing with it in the folded position may have caused a slight warping...but it's still a wonderful and useful tool. It's out and in use all the time. Great product.

This is one of those things I didn't realize I needed until I got it. I've been doing a lot of fusible applique that has me going back and forth between sewing machine, cutting board, and ironing board with small pieces of fabric that I may or may not drop somewhere in the process. This is about the size of a notebook so it takes up very little room on my sewing table, while allowing me not to have to keep getting up and walking around the room. I used to have a similar item that was cutting board on top and pressing board on the bottom. It was great for pressing, but there was enough padding on the pressing side that it didn't sit perfectly flat when the cutting board side was in use. That is not an issue with this board, and I am really enjoying using it.

I love this combination cutting mat and ironing surface! It folds neatly to be tucked into my bag for travel. I like it next to my machine for ease of use. If you look at the pics and read the description of this item you will know exactly what you are getting! It is a small size...as described, if you use a tape measure to get an idea of the dimensions you won't be disappointed. Good value and I would buy again!
