No regrets
After doing a lot of research and watching You Tube videos over a number off weeks I finally settled on 8x32 Hawk binoculars. It’s definitely better to buy 8x magnification to reduce or mitigate the problem of image shake. This was a great purchase even though a bit pricey but the extra cost is worth it . Anyone looking for a great pair of Binoculars these are a great choice. The clarity of image is spectacular made amazing by ED glass and the fact they are waterproof helps for longevity of the product. I have no regrets so if your looking for a great pair off binoculars these are a great choice you have been warned . Worth 5 star rating

Built like a premium product - handling & performance are great
I bought the 8x32 Frontier ED X model as I wanted something slightly lighter and less bulky than a 42mm pair. There are plenty of glowing reviews out there about this series - they have a magnesium body fully multicoated, ED glass, twist up eyecups and superficially look and feel like top-end premium binoculars. They give a nice bright image, especially for their size and there is minimal distortion/aberration. OK, hold them up against some £2k European made binoculars and you will see a difference but there is nothing wrong with these and they are a delight to use. My only two gripes would be the objective and ocular lens covers are not great and the carrying case, whilst a nicely made shell type, is quite bulky and large enough I reckon to accommodate the next size up. For your money, these will be hard to beat and I have heard that Hawke have great service and warranty, should you need it.

Very Good Binocs
Written for the 8x32 EDsThese are excellent, extremely well made and thought out. The locking eyepiece is a nice touch.I did NOT test these for birding SO CAN NOT SAY if they produced BETTER color then less expensive units. For general use (distance, sports events, etc) I did not find them brighter or otherwise significantly better then the binocs I ultimately purchased. (A-B blind test, two people). For my purposes I could not justify the extra $300 when a $220-250 range binoc and perform just as well in general use circumstances.

Excellent quality
I bought these as an upgrade to my "lower tier" compact binoculars (Vortex Diamondback HD 8x32). While the Hawke Frontier is slightly longer and heavier, I much prefer the 10x magnification for most uses. Optically, these are far superior - the image is brighter, and clearer throughout the field. (I'm not knocking the Vortex...at over 2x the price, I expect these to be better.). Under most conditions, chromatic aberration is virtually unnoticed; and, when I do see some, it is minimal. It bears mentioning that some people have complained of (veiling) glare when viewing against a bright sky. I did experience it - when I was actively seeking it - but, in my case, a minor IPD adjustment and repositioning of the oculars resolved the problem. After those corrections, I only once experienced glare - again, while actively trying to cause it - and the sky was so bright it was painful to look there anyway.Overall, the Frontier ED X is quite good. I doubt I will find myself "needing" to upgrade...and I question whether I would be able to note improvements without breaking the $1000 barrier.
