Jolly PetsJolly Tug-a-Mal Elephant Tug/Squeak Toy, Large (JTA44)

One of my dogs (out of four) is completely obsessed with this toy! I kid you not, I will have to buy a couple more to keep on hand and put in our car for travel. The first one started coming apart at the top seam in a couple days of having is and the second one is just starting to separate as well, but he still plays with both just fine. Silas literally knows the toy by name as “Mr. Krabs” and we have to take it away and hide it or he will demand for it to be thrown for HOURS a day (sadly, not an exaggeration). Might not be the most durable, but Silas would give it a 10 star rating if he could because out of the pile of 50 toys he will always chose Mr. Krabs.

My dogs have had several of these tugs and just love them! They’re both medium sized dogs and not super rough chewers, and these last at least several months. I like this one better with the rope handles exposed, in past designs with that was usually the first thing to rip was the fabric covering the rope. Provides lots of fun and is overall a good value.

Bobby & Bailey are goldendoodles. Bobby is a medium and Bailey is a mini. Bobby (May 17, 2022 36lbs) is 7 months older than Bailey (Dec 16, 2022 27lbs). I had visions of them playing "pull" with the toy since they both love squeaky toys and like the pull game. Bobby tried to chew the nose off this toy. Bailey takes it and prances through the house, squeaking as he goes. He does this a lot first thing in the morning. He's just plain happy amusing himself with this toy. I find him hilarious. I bought a second one in case Bobby succeeds in "killing" it.

Love Jolly Pet. What description does not make clear is difference between medium and large. Large is a nice durable ball inside. Medium is more of a super squeaky crunchy thing, spherical, but not a thick rubber ball. I wanted the ball bc my dog is a vicious shredding beast and still enjoys an old Jolly Pet monkey — with half the rubber ball protruding. So I was surprised it was a different t filler. It makes all kinds of giggly plastic crunchy squeaky sounds and he loves loves loves making noise with the medium— but I fear it won’t be as durable as whatever ball is in the large. It’s not an annoying sound. He cracks us all up. Just a heads up that medium is not designed same as large.My dog is 50 pound schnauzer Shepard mutt mix that can gut and shred a stuffed toy in about 5 minutes. 2 weeks in and turtle going strong — and monkey still holding mostly together after 2 years!!

The Jolly Pets Tug-a-Mals have the BEST squeakers on the market, which depending on what you want may be a good or bad thing. I have found that my pit bull will destroy ANY stuffed toy in a manner of minutes. However, because this toy has such an intense squeak and is ultimately a rubber ball when the fabric does come off, it takes her months to slowly take it apart. And then when she is done she has a rubber ball to play with. I have been a dog owner for 15+ years and this is by far the best squeaking toy out there. It can also be used as a great distraction when you want your dog to pay attention to you instead of something at a distance. I will say, the squeak is intense and can be incredibly jarring and annoying, but hey, if it makes your dog happy, it's worth it! :)

The ball that is the animals head is broken and no longer squeaks. It last 3 seconds I didn't get the tags in the trash. Dog is 9lbs .

Bought one - she LOVED it...bought another for the car, then another for upstairs, then another in a different size, then...well, you get the idea - they are WELL made, durable, and allow a game of tug, /or/ individual playtime! We have them in nearly every size, and every animal. What's great is when you want to tidy up, you can just hook them to something, and they're up and out of the way of the automatic vacuum cleaner! We've even bought some for friends, and their pups are thrilled. GREAT item for your own pup, or as a gift!

I liked the idea of this toy, but it is really difficult to make it squeak and after about 2 days one of the rope loops came off.

We have 2 Golden Retrievers and this is a great toy for tug between the 2 of them or to play with by themselves or with us. They really like the elephant and I find it’s well made and am so happy with it we’ve just ordered the Frog to add to their toy chest.

My dog (a labradoodle) loves soft toys but she has a habit of quickly destroying them. She likes to chew at them losening the stitching with her teeth so she can pull the stuffing out. This toy is able to withstand that (so far). The toy is soft enough that my dog likes it (she does not like hard toys) but durable. She also seems to enjoy the squeeking, which is not as annoying as the plastic squeeker toys. I would purchase another but hopefully it will last for some time and would recommend to others.

Nice and sturdy. My sister’s big dog loves it and it lasts.
