Fabulous Romance!
Tuscany, food, wine, intriguing plot with lots of twists and turns, second chance romance, slow burn between Tommaso and Sarah -- what's not to love? This is my kind of romance and can't wait to read more of Romy Sommer's books. Keep them coming, Romy. Love it!

Thoroughly enjoyable!!
It's very well written. The characters are interesting. The plot is intriguing and believable. The description of the villages, countryside, culture and food gives the impression the author grew up there and is deeply rooted in the culture. Makes me long to visit the region. Oh, and all the info about the wine making process; very well researched and so interesting.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel.

Awesome story. Couldn't put it down
I loved this book. Set in Tuscany. Sarah faces many decisions as she navigates the pros and cons of inheriting her late father's villa and vineyard. The setting is gorgeous, the characters are engaging, and the plot kept me on the edge of my chair. I often felt like I was sitting at the table with Sarah and the other characters, sampling fresh-baked bread and flavorful Italian wines. I couldn't put the book down, and I didn't want the story to end.I can't wait for Romy's next book!

it's really quite good and I high recommend it
A really lovely read! A romance novel that is not what I usually go for but this one was magical and pushed all the right buttons with the description of the food and country side and a bit of history thrown in,(not too much) and the growing of grapes for the wine and then the making and drinking of the wine surround with new friends and even an unexpected guest. The lovely Italian people really come to life in this book. You will be wide eyed and worried about some of the situations that arise in this book...it's really quite good and I high recommend it!

Sweet summer romance
An expected inheritance, a reluctant, albeit very sexy business partner and a long summer in Tuscany provide ideal light, romantic reading. The descriptions of wine and wonderful food add to the reading pleasure. I always enjoy Romy Sommer's books and am so glad a new one has arrived to brighten my reading time.

Delicious fairytale
Romy Sommer states that she writes modern-day fairytales. Well, that’s exactly what this is. I truly don’t care whether this would actually happen in real-life or not, but, oh, if it could. Yes, our heroine is in a Tuscany that is reminiscent of that other luscious fairytale, Under the Tuscan Sun, and her challenges seem similar. But, there’s a gentle touch of angelic magic running through this beautiful book that had me sobbing at the end. I loved it. Yes, it’s one of those books about ‘heart-warming’, ‘touching’ tea cosy places in villages that don’t exit. I don’t care. This is a modern-day fairytale, and I LOVED it.Tell me that the next book is Luca’s - it is, isn’t it?

You are going to be hungry and hot and bothered reading this one.
I loved getting knee-deep into Tuscany with this delightful read by Romy Sommer. When Sarah becomes an unwilling heiress to half crumbling castello in Tuscany, the best thing she can do with it is to make it her vacation-station during her forced leave-of-absence from work.Bring in some hot Italian men, some lovely people whom you wished you had as neighbors, some past love affairs that never caught fire despite dry and windy conditions, and you are in for a treat. Add all that delicious food…the only thing I would have loved to have added to this book would have been a few, select recipes right at the end.Thumbs up!

Boring, bad writing and absolutely nothing happens till the end
Spoilers ahead! It's a story about a young woman Sarah in her mid 30's (we are reminded about her age around 50 times in the book at regular intervals in case we forget!) who goes to Tuscany to claim her share in the vineyard left by her dead father and falls in love once again with her childhood friend/crush Tommaso who also happens to be her father's business partner. How convenient! There's also one hot lawyer, helping her out with the claim. That's it. There's nothing else to the plot. The writing is mediocre and fails to hold the reader's interest. Throughout the book, Sarah does nothing but bakes bread and stuff, cleans the house, gets horny, bakes again, goes on family dinners, gets horny, decorates the house and bakes more. I'm not joking. All the characters are one-dimensional cardboard cutouts. None of them are likable or has any redeeming quality. Especially the mother "Geraldine" is an ass of a woman who sleeps with her own daughter's fiance, has multiple boyfriends, leaves her daughter to have fun with young men, comes back out of nowhere and gets married to a much younger divorced guy (while staying at her dead husband's house!) Sick. The father is non-existant. Then there's her cliched friend/colleague Cleo who pops up in every other chapter for no apparent reason and has nothing to do with the plot. I simply couldn't care enough about any of the characters. The plot is wafer thin, uninteresting and predictable from the first chapter itself. Things are repeated over and over again. So very annoying!! The line "No holiday romance" pops up literally in every other scene where Sarah has any kind of interaction with either of the two men!! She's always horny around both the men and we are tortured with elaborate repetitive descriptions of their bodies. I literally kept on skipping 2-3 pages at a time without missing anything. The plot moves at a snail's pace and absolutely nothing important happens until the very end which again is lame and duhh!.The making out scenes between Sarah and Tommaso in the last few chapters are extremely pathetic, full of cliches and the writing is crass and distasteful-his beautiful c***k, my core, and much more. They lack any emotion whatsoever. I barely managed to finish the book and I'm glad it's over! Regret wasting my precious time and two bucks.
