Frustratingly there is no compilation that covers Sedaka's complete career span from the 50s to the 70s. The big 50s & 60s hits featured in this collection are re-recordings. Good as these might be in their own right they are not the real deal as far as completists are concerned. The modern 70s material IS the real deal- all original recordings apart from a couple of live tracks. Overall the sound quality is very good. There are a couple of key tracks that are omitted making it necessary to buy another Greatest Hits collection that does feature the missing tracks. Great disc despite these niggles.
