Another great book!
Souls is the second book following Cora and Echo. Cora is helping souls find their peace, finally finding her place in the supernatural world. When a dark soul, Dev, comes to her for help, she notices immediately that he is different from the rest; he purposely came to find her in order to try to get in touch with Echo. Many Griminirs want Dev, but Cora tries to follow her instincts to protect him, even against Echo’s wishes. Cora starts to have trouble balancing her school-life, helping souls, keeping her parents in the dark, and still keeping Echo happy. She must try to find a balance between all of them before she ends up over her head in something she cannot control. This gives us a deeper insight to Cora as she is trying to expand her knowledge of the world, and do her best to give back to the souls. The author does a great job divulging more into Cora's character and intertwining the characters pasts with the present. I have read many books that have made many basic mistakes when doing this, but she seems to have been able to keep their storylines straight and following through with their crossings.

I love this series so much
I love this series so much. It has everything I love, magic, romance, action and it's based on Norse mythology. Souls is the fifth book in the Runes series, the second book in the Grimnirs series and is centered on Cora, while Raine and the others make appearances.Cora now trying to live her new life as an immortal and she is dealing with a lot of stuff. She is still helping souls and it still has it's downside. She is working at an retirement home and is trying to learn how to be a supernatural. I love how Cora grew as a character, she started out as Raine's best friend who was, while not a bad person, a little shallow. Cora now is her own character and she has grown emotional, she is no longer that shallow girl who cared only about boys and cloths. The events in the past has formed her into a better version of herself.Everything between Cora and Echo is hotter than ever and their relationship is starting to take a serious turn. You can tell that they really care for each other and that this is a real relationship. Things aren't perfect and they have their problems but they work through them because the love each other so much. I think that they actually make a really good couple, they seem to balance each other out.I am five books deep in this series, so you can't help but tell I really like the series. The plot is an interesting one and it's unique. I love the characters and how I get to switch between main characters by switching the heroine of each book. Souls is a steamy new adult romance that happens to have souls, Norse mythology, magic, reapers (grimnirs), a heartbreaking loss, dark souls, and a wicked scheme. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series and the spin-off series, aptly named Eirik.

Another AMAZING book by the author
In this book we see more of Cora and the development of her soul-communication skills. We also get to see why she is the ideal partner for Echo - she is tough, strong-willed and does not simply subject herself to whatever he tells her. She can discern the characters of the souls she deals with for herself, and she does this without being outright challenging to Echo. She is such an expert diplomat and manages to pacify all.The romance scenes between Cora and Echo are beyond incredible - they are so hot together in the bedroom. Echo is just such an amazing lover. In fact I cannot make up my mind about whom I love the most - Echo, Torin or Andris. I do actually hope we get a book about Andris too!I was also happy that this book had some interaction with the other popular characters of the series - Raine, Torin and the ever haughty condescending cheeky Andris. Lavanya also makes her appearance with her expertise and motherly guidance. Several issues from the past crop up so to really appreciate the book it would be best to read the prior books in the series.Needless to say the author is such an expert writer in all respects - everything from the dialogue to the characters to the suspense and mythology was absolutely amazing as usual. I look forward to many more in this series!

Awesome book!
Book Review- Souls by Ednah WaltersCora sees lost souls and tries to help them find peace before her boyfriend Echo reaps them. She seems to be a beacon. One night a dark soul approaches her for help. It looks to be Devyn, an old friend of Echo’s who betrayed their people. Echo was forced to punish the immortal. Now Dev is wanting Cora for help. He searches her out and takes over her cell phone. Cora decides helping Dev will help Echo, so she is ready to get to the bottom of what is really going on.Dev comes to her aid when another dark soul tries to possess her. More and more dark souls are stalking Cora. Something evil is after her. The Valkyries and the Griminirs join forces to protect her. When an enemy from the past is revealed everyone is shocked. Cora is surrounded by those she helps and those she loves. They protect her from the threat of the dark.I love this series and the Runes series. Echo and Cora are two of my favorite characters. He is the ultimate bad boy but he is completely devoted to Cora. Their relationship is sweet and totally what every girl dreams of. Echo would do anything for her. She is his top priority. Completely sigh-worthy.In this book we learn a little more about Echo and what happened in his past. The author continues to introduce interesting characters and harrowing situations that the group has to overcome. They band together and fight for what is right, protecting each other like family.I recommend this book and the entire series for that matter. It is a fabulous story with great characters. I give it a 5 out of 5.

It was so much fun to see the world again through Cora and I ...
Yet again I finished this book in 1 whole day because the drama, the action, the secrets, the thrills, the danger and the excitement made it impossible to put down. It was so much fun to see the world again through Cora and I am now definitely more in love with Echo than Torin which surprised me. The plot and story was really well written and I must admitt my heart weeps each time a new threat surfaces to threaten the peace and happiness of Cora/Echoe and Raine/Torin but seeing how much these guys will go through to protect the ones they love and make them happy is always the silverlining in each dark chapter. I also love the way this unrelated family of Immortals, Valkyries, Grimnirs and even Witches are forming together through each danger and how both Cora and Raine are developing their powers and fighting to remain true to themselves no matter what.I also really like the new character introduced in Souls and I do hope he becomes a member of this unqiue band of friends and lovers.Cant wait to read Witches - I have thoroughly enjoyed reading every book in this series.

... say about Souls apart form it is about my favourite characture in the series Echo
What can i say about Souls apart form it is about my favourite characture in the series Echo, you cant help but love him and Cora they are just as perfect for each other as Torin and Raine but dont expect the same as each couple is completely diff, This book is amazing you get to see a diff side to each of them that you dont in the other books and it makes Echo more human (even though he isnt) Echo's love and commitment and protectiveness for Cora shines through out, you never know what to expect with either of them, i love that Ednah has given these two their own books they deserve them, and even though they shouldnt work together they do they bring out the best in each other, Cora has evolved a lot she isnt who i first thought she was and im glad about that as i didnt like her much to start with but i love her now, and Echo needed her in his life he has been alone for far to long and she has softened this badarse Grimnir's edges. Any way dont take my word for it read the series find out for yourself you wont regret it i promise xxx

Read this book Now, well after the first book!!!! you are missing a treat.
Cora's character becomes a lot more confident within her role in helping lost souls. she is a very caring and compassionate individual. I liked that she worked in the care home for the elderly as this is something I too have done. She becomes torn between helping Dev, a lost soul from Echo's past, and doing as Echo asks of her. She is very stubborn and opts for the former and will go to great lengths to save Dev.Other reapers are introduced in this book and we learn how one of them is connected to Echo and Dev.Ednah I wish I had found your books a long time ago.

Souls
Wow this would have to be my favourite to date. I love the dynamic between Echo and Cora. You meet some new character in this book which are great additions to the series I hope we see more from them. And, get your tissues ready, I won't lie, there is a moment when they will be needed. I can't wait to start the next and final book for Torin and Raine.

Souls fills your heart
Souls & Witches read alongside each other in that they're both around the same time but Souls is from Cora's view and is her story whereas Witches is Raine's. In Souls I've grown to love Cora & Echo even more and there are some new characters introduced that you find yourself hoping they'll get there own book too. I seriously love this whole series and the world that Ednah has built. My question now is would I rather be a Valkyrie or a Grimnir? I've made my decision, which will you choose?
