Fairy Lights
Installed fairy lights on my deck railing as an accent. They are small enough to not be noticed in daylight and a beautiful accent at night! Easy to install.

Beautiful, high quality lights that adds soft glow to a room - Nice Effects --> Works even better with a Home Automation Outlet!
Use Case:I wanted some small decorative white lights to go in my gym area in the basement given that basements only have small amounts of natural lighting. My basement is fully finished with open floor plan gym, toy area and tv/couches area.ShippingI received item in 2 days- very fast. Item was very well packaged with lights, adapter/cords and remote. Remote had plastic inserted to save battery life.Installation:The pliable wire was PERFECT for all the ideas I had for these lights! I didn't know EXACTLY what I wanted to do but I knew that I'd play around and figure it out as I went along. Well, I ended up hanging these lights at intersection of ceiling and walls in gym area about 400 sq. I just used regular tape every few feet because I wasn't sure if I wanted to really commit or even if I had enough to string around the room. It ended up that I had the perfect amount and the tape was a fairly good solution (every now and then I have to retape a piece). It is good enough for my use case but I love this look so much I may consider doing something stronger. We will see!ConsI really don't have any cons!Review:I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE these lights. I know it's silly to love lighting but I spent weeks doing a basement renovation for my young boys and everyone that goes to their cave comments on the these lights and how it changes the whole look of the room. It's bright enough to really light the room and it makes the room feel special. It adds nice warmth to the room as opposed to it being super bright/white. We loved it so much I ended up buying another set to complete the rest of the basement open space in the same way! I even really am appreciative of the remote working for both sets.Tip:I automated these lights on my own. I worried, because it was in the basement, that my kids would leave them on all the time because I do not go down there all the time. So, what I did was I got a Wemo outlet plug (Wemo Mini Smart Plug, Wi-Fi Enabled, Works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant that works with Alexa and Google Home. So I plugged these lights into that Wemo outlet and now I have the option to automate in 2 ways.1. When we go to the basement my kids say OK Google during on DECO Lights and all these lights go on with their voice. (You have to have a Alexa or Google Home obviously close enough to the lights to hear!) - To connect Wemo and Google Home I used an app/web service called IFTTT where you select the services and set the series (IF Google Home hears "turn on deco lights" THEN turn on the Wemo Outlet called "Deco Lights" then I did the reverse for turning off... Deco Lights was my term- you can use any terms for naming)2. I can use my Wemo app on the phone to turn on and off from anywhere (I often check when I'm at work or in bed to ensure they are off)3. The Wemo app allows you to schedule on/off times so I scheduled this outlet to cut power at 10pm nightly (my kids are young still and in bed by then).

Bright and power efficient
I put this product in my backyard around a small pond then on the fence. It looked great. But unfortunately it lasted for only a week. I tested the power supply and the on/off switch and they were fine, so I thought it was the string lights that died. I took it down and found that it was most likely accidentally cut when we pruned the plants as the wires were cleanly cut. I soldered them back and it worked again. I then put them in my living room. We like the effect. It is bright and it takes only <6W.

Perfect for our project
We had a tree that died last year. My wife came up with the idea that when I dug up and replaced the tree we save the old dead tree, secure it in a pot with concrete, paint it, and put lights on it. Well that project turned out pretty awesome and these lights were the perfect match for what we were looking for. We got the 500 count. So far the durability has been good. My only complaint is the remote is a little unresponsive and you have to literally get within a foot of the box for it to detect the remote. Otherwise very pleased with the purchase.

Beautiful - while they worked
These lights were absolutely beautiful - till they weren't. Took forever to mount in my covered pergola due to to very thin wires. Loved the way they looked, They worked for several months - maybe one night a week use (less than 30 minutes each time) - but today they just didn't light up. Nothing changed, not even bad weather. One day they worked, the next they didn't. We changed the remote battery, checked all wires...nothing. I guess you can add me to the rest of customers reporting this issue...good luck with your set if you decide to purchase these...

This is what a quarter mile of fairy lights look like
I don't write a lot of reviews because frankly, I'm too lazy. I'm writing this one because I spent over 200 hours on this project and now that it's done and came out so well I thought it would be nice to provide others some inspiration. Check out the picture for a section of what the wall looks like. The actual wall is about 40ft across. We have an open space on the side of our house that we transformed into a biergarten. Against the wall we installed faux ivy (using 450 tapcon screws!). Once it was in, although it looked nice, it didn't "pop". I had the idea to put in some lighting behind it and started looking at options. At first we though of Christmas tree strings lights, but the strings are too visible and took away from the effect. Fairy lights were the best choice but I needed to make sure the were weather resistant. These were the correct length, light density and weather rating for our needs. In all, we ended up with 8x 164ft strands. All connected with over 2,000 zip ties. Lots and lots of work but the finished product looks great. So here's the good and bad:They are very bright. Much brighter than expected. The photo shows them at full brightness, but we generally leave it at around 50% to make it more subtle. They come rolled on pieces of cardboard. This is important because I have seen others that come twist-tied together and untangling them sometimes results in broken wires. The 164ft lengths are actually several strands connected together. The weak point would likely be the connections, so pay close attention to them when installing. They are waterproof rated (but not the part where the light connects to the power adapter). I tested this out before installing as once my install was completed replacing bad strings would be extremely difficult. They are pretty durable once installed. It's during the installation that I can see things breaking. You must be extremely careful installing these and they are not designed to move around! They are super thin copper and too much bending will break them! I had it happen and was able to solder the break myself, but it can happen very easily. This is pretty much the case with all fairy lights. If you are handy with the soldering iron and heat shrink, I don't see why you could not connect even more strands together (provided you upgrade the power supply). I did not because I wanted separate controllers. More on that in a bit...The included power supply, surprisingly, is enough to power all 8 strands. That being said, I would not trust it long term so I bought a 15a power supply and an 8-way splitter. The controller is marked to support 6a (6 strands) but I have not tried that because...The controller is definitely the weak spot in this product. It's not WiFi, so that means you are stuck with the IR controller. It's range is terrible. I could not use it for my application. Not just because of the range, but also the capabilities. I wanted the wall to "pulse" like a heartbeat. It has the ability to gradually go brighter and then dimmer, however you cannot set the top brightness level and the dimmest part is actually completely off. I simply could not get the effect I wanted with the controller. In the end I found a magichome compatible controller and was able to program it to give me the desired effect. The controller is really the only thing that needs to be improved and if they are able to do that I believe they would have much better product. As it is, compared to the other lights I checked out, these seem to be the best and will be the only ones I would buy when I need more.

Looks great
I purchased this for outside as a light on my deck but didn't realize it was so tiny and not what I was looking for.So instead I have them on my Christmas tree and they look great ..because it is all one long cord I had to 'rock around the tree' to put them on. Having the remote is great. I'm very happy with my purchase.Delivery was fast!

Nice long led string with 110V plug
Package arrived fast and the quality is great. The leds are bright and they were easy to install in my gazebo thanks' to the cardboard they were rolled around. The included remote with different programs is a nice addition.
