A single flute is plenty when you need to pull it out of the hole
I admit I had some doubts about a single flute and one cutter hanging out by itself. But I have put four 40-inch deep 12 inch diameter holes in stony wet clay so far and this bit works great. I use it on my Ryobi 40V Brushless auger and although hitting the stones puts the Ryobi in overload a lot it digs through with only a wrestling match with the clay. The single auger holds all the dirt I can lift out of the hole at one time, especially when using extensions to get below frost depth. The 3/4 drive fits my auger perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

Good to start fence post holes
Works well. I use this to start fence posts when driving posts by the tractor. Good quality, very satisfied with it.

Shaft doesn’t fit my machine
The socket on the bit was a tad smaller than expected. Just enough so that I was completely unable to use it on my post digger. I spent more money and time fixing it

My first question was the same as every one else's: is the quality less depending on the name branding? To my relief, the quality is the exact same as any other company that outs their name on it. My guess is that there is only one manufacturer of these drill bits, and distributers puts their name on it, and brand name it before selling under a different guise.My case: The 200mm drill bit that came with my machine, bought outside of Amazon, is exactly the same quality and form as the 6 inch drill bit I bought from this seller. The box, the outside markings, the quality, the length and the powder coating is the exact same. So, go for the lowest price, because it seems that everyone sells the exact same drill bit, regardless of name branding. This 6 inch drill bit is the sister of the one that came with my drill, so the inside secret is that, to my experience, the drill bits are equal, only market branding created a higher price.The service from this distributor is highly appreciated, and I do recommend his stuff, being located in Canada. During this time of increased online sales, please be patient with shipping. It took two weeks to arrive to me through Canada Post and sat in limbo for that same time. It is not the fault of this distributor, and he is having a very hard time consoling buyers during Canada Post's ball-dropping performance. Be nice to him, please. He is a person just like us

UNSUITABLE !!
The item was not suitable! The ad did state that it could be returned ; however, it did not state that it would be at buyer's expense. Canada Post shipping charges are $32. 10. So, I decided not to return it.Now, I have to have a fabrication shop make a custom adaptor so that I can use It. This really "turned me off"My wife and I are deciding whether or not we should continue to make purchases on AMAZON.
