Cambridge 242616MD4 Temptation Red 16-Piece Flatware Set With Rack

I love red silverware and this set is more sturdy than most I've had. They also are very nice looking and have withstood dishwashing beautifully.

I love this flatware. It's exactly what I was looking for, I love the red handles and I love having the countertop stand rather than a utensil drawer. They are comfortable to hold and look nice, especially for the price. The only bad thing was the packaging, but not bad as in ineffective, it was very effective, just also the very definition of frustrating packaging. Like seriously, it took me about 15 minutes to unbox this.

My wife absolutely loves this flatware set. I'm OK with it, but it's a bit too festive for me for every day use. It is substantial enough, but has a "cheap" feel, if you know what I mean. Sort of a mean thing to say, considering the low price. Oh, and I threw away the holder which was absolutely useless. What a dumb design. But, if you want a nice flatware for Christmas, and have a sane way to hold the forks, spoons, and knives (like a drawer), then I highly recommend this set. The price is right. Too bad the hanger isn't.

So I have been looking for a set like this for years, we had a very sturdy set back in the 80's but we've had bad luck. Two sets lasted a few years, one set by Pfaltzgraff we bought Christmas of 2021 has been literally falling apart in our hands, and the last time I found a good-looking sturdy set, it was made really oddly when it arrived, the forms were too thick and sharp! I don't know what is going on in the silverwear world but my test is the teaspoon needs to be a teaspoon, I eat my ice cream with it! And my fingers are uncomfortable with just plain thin metal and no plastic buildup to hold on to. These are perfect! They do everything we need, I have been using them for a few months, and it's wonderful. We know that they likely won't be this way forever, and they will have fading issues, etc but we will be served well for some time and they are a godsend!

I absolutely adore my new utensils. Arrived today, well packaged and secure. They look very nice on my counter top, don't take up a lot of space and they're my favorite color. They appear to be sturdy and the knives have serrated edges. Finally, I have something very nice to set the table for company.

I bought this set to replace one I had from college that had disappeared piece by piece over the years. I really liked having the rack to hang my silverware on since the drawers in my apartment were too small for a normal organizer. Most hanging sets are really pricey and I thought this one was a decent bargain. Unfortunately, this is a case of you get what you paid for. The flatware itself is okay - a little rough around the edges (literally), but serviceable. But the rack is a huge disappointment. The pieces are supposed to be held by metal rods sticking out, but they're spaced too far apart so the forks keep falling out. I've tried bending them but I kind of feel like they'd just wind up breaking. Overall, I'm not super impressed and won't likely buy from this maker again.
