Very basic collar clamp that worked fine for me.
My need was as basic as it gets- needed a 1" bore collar clamp & looks don't matter. These did the job just fine. Nothing fancy.

Machined wrong?
How are these not a true 1" inside diameter? Look up collars in the McMaster-Carr book and they should close completely making a 1" circle. When taking these out of the packaging, you can tell immediately that they aren't round. Put a caliper to them and they're 1/8th off. These are bizarre.

Solved problem of sliding clutch on shaft.

Worked just fine
It did just what I wanted it to. The seat on my wife's computer chair kept slipping down below the height she set it at.I measured the diameter of the shaft under the seat and ordered this part to clamp around the shaft. It keeps the seat at the level she wants.
