Oil Storage Grease Keeper, Grease Strainer Pot Grease Container with Mesh Strainer (1.6 L-Y)

This was purchased to replace a similar pot whose handle had fallen off due to poor welding. I specifically chose this grease keeper because of the nonmetal handle pictured. It arrived today and is NOT as pictured. It does seem sturdy and has a plastic knob to go on top that you have to attach after it is shipped to you. The handle is a metal one welded to the pot like the older one I had which didn't last long. I will keep it hoping the handle will last longer but be warned, the handle is not as pictured.

This oil storage container that I bought a while back really works well, especially the strainer. I no longer strain my cooking oil through paper towels. Which makes for an easy way to just pour the cooled cooking oil through the filter, wash the filter, dry it and place it back into the container. The container looks expensive and sits on my counter for the next time.

The pot appears to be of decent quality so I'd give it maybe 3 or 4 stars for that, but the size and capacity are incorrect. I bought the 2.3L version which equates to a little over 9 cups, assuming by 2.3L they mean litres. In actuality this holds less than 7 cups.

Works exactly as described. Good quality stainless steel, well fitting parts. For a long time I used old jars or cans to keep leftover grease, but I was always afraid they would break or leak. Or I could never find one when I needed it. Finally I broke down and bought a dedicated grease can. This one does the trick.I'm taking off one star because some of the other brands include a tray for it to sit on and prevent any drips down the side from getting on your countertop.

The 2.3 liter container barely holds 2 quarts, but having underestimated their claim. I'm satisfied with the volume it will instead, actually contain. It looks nice on my counter top, and comes with a plate to catch any spill-overs,and a strainer to filter out large items, but it sounds tinny and feels flimsy. Still, it is much better than using a plastic container, and I did get what I paid for; an inexpensive grease container.

I don’t know how I got by without this until now!!! This pretty much recycles your vegetable oil to use over and over again taking out all the specks and food that has been left in. I love it!

Great way to keep cooking oils for 2,3 etc uses. It has a strainer at the top so I didn't have to find a cone to filter it. It also has a tray for the pot to rest on. I really like it and used it right away. Very happy with this purchase.

oil leaks through the gap where handle is attached to the body. I'm returning this item since it is worthless
