2 CD package. Great pacakge.
From his earlier days, these two albums are hard to find at a decent price. This double package is far cheaper to buy than buying the albums separately.

Peter's Perfect Pair
Just after he quit Humble Pie, and a couple of years before Peter Frampton hit pay-dirt with his live double album Frampton Comes Alive, he brought out these two superb solo LPs which, to my ears anyway, far exceed the live album. It's hard to believe but I don't think they sold too well at the time, however the record company stuck with him and, I'm sure, eventually got their investment back. A great songwriter, accomplished vocalist and a hugely under-rated guitar player, these two records showcase Frampton's talents fantastically. Great rockers like It's A Plain Shame, White Sugar and the wonderful All Night Long sit alongside beautiful ballads Oh For Another Day, Lines On My Face and the achingly beautiful Don't Fade Away. Plus the string arrangements of Del Newman only add to the depth of these recordings. Inspired cover versions of Jumpin' Jack Flash and Stevie Wonder's I Believe When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever are also not to be missed. Now in a remastered double-pack, Frampton's first two solo records are well worth investing in if you missed out on them first time 'round. Crikey, one track's even got a Beatle on drums!

Double the pleasure - two albums in one
His two earliest albums after The Herd and Humble Pie. The songs are classics and have stood the test of time. There are some famous people from the time backing him on some of the tracks which proves his popularity. Just as famous people are joining him today on his Guitar Circus tour.

ona of my favorite albums of the seventies
I bought 'Wind Of Change' on it's release back in the early seventies on the strength of hearing Peter Frampton with Humble Pie on 'Rockin the Filmore'. I really like his melodic style of improvising, and think he is a much underated guitarist. Although not a great singer, he has an interesting voice which adds a unique sound to his songs. The album is not typical 'Pie', but does have some songs that could have fitted onto one of their albums;'Plain Shame', 'Jumpin Jack Flash' and 'Alright'. The other songs have some quirky lyrics, good melodies, and 'All I Want to Be' is worth the price on it's own. Ten times better than the accoustic version on 'Frampton Comes Alive'!!!Turn up the volume on the long fade out to hear everything!'Frampton's Camel' is a good listern, and has a collection of typical Frampton songs, but one or two weaker songs which means it doesn';t quite match the standard of his debut album. All in all, a must for anyone who loves classic rock from this period.Buy it!!!
