Very nice router plane
I'm very happy with this plane. It was sharp right out of the box although I did strop the iron before using. Cut through these ash tenons with easeMy tenons are now perfect thickness.I would recommend this reasonably priced plane.GMProfessional custom furniture maker 50+ yrs

Good Overall Quality
I don't often like being the guinea pig on items that haven't been reviewed, but after analyzing this router plane, it had a couple of good features I liked over other comparable models - namely, the improved locking mechanism for the blade, a depth stop, and base holes for attaching other components to it.Right out the box, you could theoretically get right to work. The blade is very sharp and I didn't have to take it to a sharpening stone/strop. Shavings are nice and clean. One thing I did do is flatten the base, although for the most part, it's pretty straight. I did notice the blade holder was very slightly out of square relative to the base (maybe 0.5 mm off), but I simply loosened the 2 attachment screws, gently pried it back into alignment, and then tightened the screws back up. The edges of the base are a little sharp, but not a big deal; nothing a little file/sand paper can't fix.All in all, very minor issues that are easily correctable, and to be honest, you really don't have to do the things I did, and I'm sure you'd be pleased with the plane's performance. Good buy, and a cheaper alternative compared to other high-end router planes.

Good operational plane
This isn't an expensive plane, like the "vintage" models on eBay. But for the price, it works very well. I'm very satisfied. The blade was sharp right out of the box, and could be used as is. For precise work, I might touch it up first. The plane is solidly built, and the adjustments work well. I would definitely buy this again, if I had to do over.

Decent, no frills, but works well
I have several router planes including a couple Stanley-Record and this is definitely not a high end plane, but it is a decent one. The iron came reasonably sharp and only needed very minor finishing to be deadly sharp, the mechanism is simple and works well, and for the spartan appearance, it's a surprisingly accurate little plane. I'm very satisfied with it. 10-10

Good overall router plane
Good overall router plane. Great price, good quality. Learning curve is quick. A really sharp blade is 80% of the battle. Interchangeably blades make it very versatile.

no documentation included in package.
The item was missing a set screw on the adjusting sleeve. There was not any documentation in the package. It would be nice to have information on how to adjust the cutter and where to get extra parts. The item however seems to be well built. I do not understand the "thickness" or "sheerness" ratings that was requested.

Good router plane for the price!
Purchased this small router plane for a specific project requiring hand-cut dovetail stopped mortises. I'm completely happy with it and the results I got from its use. The cutter was sharp out of the box, the sole flat enough to make a flat cut. I will say the adjuster does have some "slop" to it and one needs to pay attention when making fine adjustments during use, but over all for the price I'm very satisfied. The first thing I did when it arrived was remove the handles and soak them in boiled linseed oil, otherwise I haven't needed to do much else. It does have predrilled holes in the sole if I want to add a larger wood plate.
