This thing is huge! 4.75 x 5.5 inches
The dimensions listed in the specs are incorrect. They aren't even correct for the box this comes in.That said, this is a really BIG pedal! The knobs are big as well, so at first glance, it looks like a typical sized pedal. It's actually around 4.75 x 5.5 inches.

great, super flexible fuzz
Previous versions of this pedal, as I understand it, had the trimpot on the inside, which Death By Audio got some flak for. They rectified this by moving it to the outside, and I'm glad that they did. Getting to fiddle with the bias back and forth a little bit really opens up a lot of options to fine-tune the tone. In terms of the main knobs, it's pretty straightforward. Fuzz is the amount of fuzz applied to the signal, tone is just like the tone knob on the guitar, seems to act as a high pass sweep. I'd say overall it covers a lot of the same ground as the big muff, but unlike the big muff nearly all of the settings are usable. It's different enough from the big muff that you could probably use both of them separately for different kinds of fuzz/distortion; the muff for a more wild, out of control, deafening fuzz, and the fuzz war for more controlled, thick and rich fuzz. The volume is pretty well matched on fuzz and on bypass, which some people may like more than others; there is no volume knob to adjust it, so parity is what you get here. If you want your fuzz volume to scream out above your clean volume, you may need to put a boost pedal in the chain as well. Or find a fuzz warr overload :) This doesn't do a real crackly, fuzztone/arbiter sort of fuzz very well, but it does it well enough. EHX makes a fuzz called "Satisfaction Fuzz" that does the fuzztone tone really well, so there's always that option. Overall I have no disappointment with this at all, and as far as I'm concerned is probably one of the best fuzzes I could have bought.

Best Fuzz pedal I've owned!
This thing is all the adjectives: filthy, creamy, distorted, destructive, loud, etc etc. I've owned Big Muffs, Fuzzface, the usual and this is really the best-sounding and tonally versatile fuzz pedal I've played. Sounds great with my Strat! My only wish is that it was a bit smaller but I'm really not complaining - definitely worth the price of admission!

awesome!
Gnarly fuzz! I love fuzz, I like the smoothness of the big muff, but sometimes I miss that really crazy fuzzyness that pedals like the fuzz face have. Where the big muff sounds more like an insane distortion, this sounds like a fuzzy big muff. It sounds big, not mid scooped, but very bassy. Very reactive to picking dynamics. I have only tried it on single coil guitars, I have no idea how it would sounds on a humbucker guitar.I recommend this product, cause I love it, I dont have new pedal infatuation either, I have had this for a couple months now and I still love it.

Loud, heavy, & mean
The media could not be loaded. If it's good enough for Charles Mootheart, it's good enough for me.
