Q: Does this come with decorating instructions?

Depends one who you purchase from, if new it should come with the Wilton sheet and has decorating instructions, if purchasing a used one here on Amazon some of them don't have the instructions, the one that I purchased and am now selling didn't come with the instructions. If you google the wilton part number their web site has the instructions on it which are more handy than the paper. I also google images of the item to see other ways of decorating that fit what I wanted mine to look like, and came up with my own method.

Q: I've never used a mold before, can you cut this cake in half to add a layer of frosting? Or is it too hard/small/curvy to do?

These tend to be not very tall cakes. You could do it, but I would recommend using a tool made specifically for that.

Q: What is the length of the cake once completed? Trying to work out what size board I will need to put it on. Thanks!

The cake is true to size from pan & measurements state it is 13.75" long
