I was hoping for something like the 365 day airplane calendar from these guys, which was more awesome. This is the best available, but not perfect.

Awesome
When I bought this I thought it was just a book with directions--WRONG> it is so much more! The different styles of airplanes are great and it has the papers wth designs included! I plan to buy these for my nephews!

Grandkid friendly
My ten year old granddaughter loved this book. She called shortly after receiving it to tell me she had made a bunch of the planes. Some flew better than others but they were all fun to make. Very colorful and kid sized.

Mini planes
Great buy, make mini planes, hours of fun for any age play indoors (doesn't break anything) and outdoors in the wind

Great Gift!
I bought this book for my younger brother who has always loved making paper airplanes. This book not only teaches you how to make them but also has a small part about the history of some planes (such as the Concorde 500). The book is small so it is great for travel. It also comes with great airplane making paper. The pocket flyers airplane book tells you tricks and tips for great flying. There are many airplanes to make and you can create each one seven times. The paper either has a cool mummy on it, awesome bugs, or other interesting disigns. My brother started making and flying these the minute he opened the present. Great for ages six to ten!

Pocket Flyers rate a ZERO
I feel qualified to review this "product", since I've been a model airplane enthusiast for 70 years and I'm an Aeronautical engineer. These airplanes are hopeless. Were they constructed from 8.5X11 paper, they'd probably work fine, but this scale is too small. Imagine the disappointment of a young person trying to get these things to fly and the loss to the model airplane community. Shame on you Blackburn & Lammers!

Great little present for kids
Purchased for our 7 year old son for his grandparents to give him at Christmas. He loves it and has already made loads of planes on his own and with his older sister. The book contains 12 designs with instructions. Some require cutting with sharp scissors which he is able to do himself. The instructions refer to pages at the back of the book each with its own graphics. Dotted lines show where folds should be made. The instructions are of the type 'fold along line 2', 'turn the plane over and fold on line 3' etc. So you would only be able to make the planes from your own paper once you'd made a fewDesigns range from a concorde with a raised tail to more complex plane shapes. There are great little rotors too which spin down like helicopters.Hints and tips are given with each set of instructions. There are about 5 pages for each design. They are removed along perforated lines near the spine of the book and need some help from an adult or older child at first to avoid tearing the paper off line. Our son can make them on his own but needs some assistance to do the folding accurately. Good folding is necessary to ensure the planes are balanced well. I'm sure he will get it eventually though and it is good practise to improve dexterity.Overall a great little book that the authors have taken a lot of time and thought to produce.
