Good price quality and design

My husband and I actually enjoy playing chess together, as well as with other family members and friends. Still, the chessboard we have before this one was a Civil War set which is great, but definitely not one we can travel with and it’s more of a “decoration” and we have a tendency not to want to play with the board or pieces for fear of damaging them. For this reason, I decided to go ahead and purchase a new board that we would feel more comfortable playing with. This one was even better because it also folds up and you can store the pieces with the board with no fear of losing a pieces. Plus, since it’s magnetic, it can be moved if we need to without disturbing the game and we can even play chess outside on our deck, even if there’s a breeze.Pros: 1) Board folds and can store the pieces inside; 2) Easy to travel with; 3) Easy to distinguish the pieces; 4) Can be moved to another area without pieces moving much because the board and the pieces are magneticCons: 1) Magnets aren’t extremely strong, so will need to keep the board, need to keep the board horizontal/flat; 2) If you’re not familiar with chess, there are no instructions, so will need to lookup how to playOverall, extremely happy with this purchase

I recently got this chess board and quite satisfied so far. Its very nicely built especially the quality of wooden pieces and carved in-built holders for all pieces. Board could be a little better as some of the squares seems to have paint painted and makes it look like merging with light colored squares with no clear boundary.

Magnet Not As Strong As You Think It Would Be

A lot of the pieces are weirdly sheared with a little flat spot around the outside of the base, one bishop was missing the felt on the bottom. Also the glued-in magnet plates have Minions on them for some reason?
