Good muzzle! If your dog is new to them you need to condition them to the muzzle first, and always start slow. I got the size large for my German shepherd husky. Fits her nicely. I could have gotten her the medium, but I wanted her to have the extra pant room. Very hard plastic so I’m sure it’ll hold up well. Will stop a bite, may not 100% stop grazers. Not a heavy muzzle, easy to put on and take off.

Based on just first impressions so far, I like it. Just was like a 5 minute first try-on, right out of the package, to see how our heeler would react to it and see how it fit her. It seems very sturdy. It is pretty cute too. I think that the color looks beautiful on her. I saw other people talk about it being slender and needing to widen it with hot water. I will do that, if necessary but as of right now, it seems alright. She does have a slightly slender face, I think. At least compared to our other two heelers. But after wearing it a couple times for a while, if could end up needing to be widen, we will see. We are going to work with her little by little and get her more comfortable, especially since she will need to wear it fairly often. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like the sizing isn't too consistent, even for those that measured, so I just went with a medium and it seems to fit well and has enough space to pant. Super cute muzzle and fit great. I did buy 2 but will order another so all my 3 large dogs have one. This muzzle brand can fit all my dogs unlike other muzzles where you need multiple. If you only want 1 muzzle to share with your dogs this one is it. Easy to shape wider if needed. Just soak in hot tap water (do not boil), stretch to your liking and hold it, than run under cold water so it will hold its shape.

As a temporary muzzle it works fine but they're more for Greyhound or slimmer faced dogs. My dog is a GSD so it could be wider but otherwise works better than other temporary muzzles on Amazon. My dog is reactive and needs a muzzle when around other animals and sometimes people. She can drink and bark with it on. It could use more pant room. My dog doesn't pant big but this could be an issue if your dog does. I don't understand why temporary muzzles don't outline a dog's mouth when it's panting. They outline the dog's mouth when their mouth is closed. There's no treat hole but expected for temporary muzzles not to have one. It's been holding up for a year.

This muzzle was a lifesaver. My whippet gets so excited at the beginning of races he would bite at me. This muzzle fits him perfect. He doesn't mind wearing it. Easy to get on and off.

I have an adopted doggo whom I love to bits, but he is extremely (like extremely) aggressive toward other dogs when we're out on a walk. I wanted to give a muzzle while on walks a try, and after a few walks trying this, I have given up on it for a few reasons... First, my dog is able to get his paws really easily into the frame of the muzzle, so because he can grip the muzzle so well, he practically rips his paws open pushing so hard. Bad boy, I know, but I very much wish the frame of the muzzle was closed on the sides, so he wasn't able to do that. If you look at the structure of the muzzle, you can tell, oh yes, easy for a dog to get their paws stuck in the sides and PULL. Not good. Second, the muzzle is tightened with a belt buckle and strap with holes, and it requires me to strap it on EXTREMELY tight to his face to get it buckled properly and well enough that he's unable to take it off. In my head, I am always thinking that the muzzle must be extremely uncomfortable for him. I wish very much the straps were hook and loop (Velcro) style. And last, the muzzle is bright red, and I know it might be vain, but it doesn't look great to have a bright red muzzle on an already upset and aggressive dog. It really brings attention to the fact that he's muzzled, and I've had kids and adults both comment on "Oh wow, look at what that dog has on..." I wish the muzzle wasn't such a bright color. I'd honestly think it would be less obtuse if it were a brown or even white. I wish I could recommend this muzzle more and it looked like a good sturdy option, but after some use, I can't say I'd suggest it. It does work, but not the best for me.

I originally chose this muzzle because it was affordable and would arrive quickly. It has exceeded every expectation. It fits my dog well with enough room for her to pant. She has never gotten it off (though she doesn’t try hard, I would expect that could be a challenge for some dogs).

I didnt like using it but my pitty mix can be dog aggressive so I had to get one until she got used to a new dog in the home. I got her used to it for a few days on walks first and while she tried to take it off, she couldnt (I didnt let her try too hard though, I would say "leave it" and she would stop... mostly). By day 3 when the other dog came she was used to it and it really worked well! By day 5 we were able to take it off and they were mostly OK with each other. I highly recommend the item!
