Frigidaire 154701001 Splash Shield

Correct fit.. simple DIY project.

Hard to believe but one went missing and my dishwasher started leaking. Not seeing these at first I purchased new door seals. Still had the leak, then noticed the one side still intact and looked into them and ordered. They are needed to allow for the watertight seal at the bottom of the door. Not one problem since installing. I thought I was going to need a new dishwasher at first.

Product shipped promptly, was exactly as advertised. Solved the leakage problem!

It's amazing how well these things works, although, it's also amazing that any dishwashers have a design that requires these things. So, the way they work, is that the little white tabs that stick out from the right (in the picture) are supposed to be bent a little, and then you tuck the bent portion under the dishwasher seal, which holds it in place (sort of). You just have to make sure the dishwasher seal is in securely, otherwise these things could potentially fall out. Our previous dishwasher didn't have the seal to hold it in place, so we needed to order that too (it was a dishwasher that was preinstalled in our home when we purchased), but since using these, we haven't had a drop of water on the floor.Giving 4 stars as they work as they're supposed to, and if you have the issue where you need them, it's a no brainer. Knocking it down 1 star as there's no reason that these should cost more than $2 + shipping.

Exactly what I need to stop the dishwasher from leaking. These were to replace the original slpash shields that came with my dishwasher, but they started to rip and leak around the door. Easy to install within a few minutes.

Running my dishwasher used to be like boarding the log flume at my local Six Flags waterpark. I would don swim trunks and have a towel at the ready for what was sure to be a wet and wild task. I taped out a "splash zone" on the kitchen floor to warn unknowing friends and family of the impending walls of water that spray from the unsealed cracks of my Frigidaire. Thankfully I no longer need a change of clothes handy when I press "Go" on the Pots and Pans cycle. Nor do I need to worry about another so-called "water resistant" smartphone being lost to the thrashing sea monster that is my dishwasher. Now that I've installed these splash shields I can trade in my wet suit and rain boots for a snuggie and slippers. As my Frigidaire roars to life and a dish-cleaning hurricane begins swirling within its plastic walls I can know for sure that my family and I will be safe from the splashes, dry and protected behind these trusty shields.

Works exactly as advertised. Had a leak so I replaced both seals and added these in to make sure the problem was solved

Is it stupidly expensive?? Yup. But believe me when I tell you that anything cheaper is just not worth it, they WILL break within days (or hours lol). Don't make my mistake and just waste money by trying to save money. This one is the actual original manufacturers part, and I could tell immediately just by putting it in that it even sits better than the cheap crap, and the whole piece is flexible enough to all bend together when the wheels hit it instead of just splitting. I've had it in for a while now and it seems to be holding up beautifully. I expect to get at least a few years worth of use from it, like I did with the original piece in the first place.

Definitely fixed our leak. Cheap and easy to install.
