Sooo good!
I love Dr. McDougall's Thai Peanut Noodle cup! It's just so good! I just tried it for the first time and had to sign in here immediately to review it.I love this! The crunchy roasted peanuts are so delicious! The sauce is really tasty. It also has just the right kick of spicy heat.I'm using Dr. McDougall's products to help me on The Rotation Diet. The diet meal plans are with meat and I'm vegetarian so Dr. McDougall's help me with getting a balanced, healthy, organic diet while keeping the calories low and getting used to portion control. They are low fat, low sodium, organic, and vegan so it also works great for the latest diabetic diet recommendations. For those on The Rotation Diet, round this out as a meal with veggies from the "Free Vegetable" list from The Rotation Diet book.*Update. I made these again and added 1 tsp Betty Lou's Just Great Stuff Powdered Peanut Butter (7 1/2 calories in 1 tsp), a little minced garlic, a dash of cayenne, a little Bragg's Liquid Aminos (tastes like soy sauce but much healthier), and a little turmeric for the health benefits. Wow, so much richer, thicker, much more like the restaurant version of peanut noodles. Next time I'm going to add some cooked chopped broccoli and shredded carrot, and a little ginger. This still fits into my Rotation Diet program!

Won't try this one again
This Thai Peanut Noodle is not as hoped for.... The peanuts were stale. The taste is very bland.. and it's not because of the sodium content. There's just not much flavor. Adding more salt when there's no real flavor to begin with, serves no purpose. Four of us tried it and everyone felt the same. No one competely finished their's.The pix shows a cup briming with product. Not quite right. You get a VERY small portion of noodles. More of a snack size than anything else.Bottom line in this court of opinion.... if 4 can constitute a court...This item is bland/stale and not worth the money.Since the peanuts are stale, it might just be this batch of product. With all the positive reviews of these items, I'm not giving up.Hopefully the other two flavors of Dr. McDougall's that I ordered, will prove to be worth it......UPDATE...The Lentil Masala is wonderful.... Hot and Sour next.

Surprisingly good!
I've had mixed luck with Dr. McDougall's line, generally like only about half of what I have tried, but lately things have been looking up. When I tried these, my expectations weren't great, but I was surprised. These were really very tasty and quite easy to prepare. The noodles had an excellent consistency and body. The sauce was good and spicy, but not too spicy. I could have eaten about twice as much (big guy talking here), but I found there was just enough to satisfy me for a quick lunch when I added a fruit side dish. The neat thing is that this is good enough that I will be looking forward to having it again. That's pretty good for an instant noodle cup type product. If you do the "subscribe and save" the price is competitive. I don't give 5 stars lightly, but I think this one deserves it. Not as good as local, but excellent for an instant product.

Can be really tasty if you add a couple ingredients.
When I first tried this I thought, "disgusting, what will I do with the rest of the box?!" So in an attempt to not waste them, I started experimenting. If you add 1-2 tablespoons of teriyaki, sriracha, and an optional protein (might I suggest octopus in soy and oil), it goes from a flop to a real winner! Filling and still coming in around 360 calories except with my favorite mix, you're also getting protein so you have to factor "bang for your caloric buck". I gave it 3 starts because it is a 5 star dish with a few easy modifications but eaten as is...it's a 1 star dish.

Delicious; not sublime, but healthy
I don't feel gross eating these low-fat noodles.

Vegan Cup of Noodles
There are times when I want a cup of noodles. They are quick, easy and normally inexpensive. However, when I became a vegetarian over 20 years ago and made the gradual progression to veganism is became harder to get inexpensive quick fixes for lunches. Then to top it all off we moved to an area where meat and cheese seem to dominate the menus of area resturants. Now, our local HEB has finally started carrying two varieties of these soups. One is the spicy szech and the other is the pad thai. Now, I can buy some of these and leave them in the locker at work for a quick lunch/dinner. They are more than the traditional ramen but they are vegan and somewhat healthier. The portion is small but that is a portion. If it was larger I might eat more and I am trying to loose some weight so I couple it with some toasted seaweed snacks. For a vegan alternative to ramen noodles they are very good. If you are comparing it to a descent szech resturant then it probably won't be as good. It is good for what it is which is an instant noodle. The subscribe/save makes it an even better value since it is an item I would use regularily.

Love!
Great product! No risky additives. A little high in sodium, but that’s OK for some of us. I travel a bunch so this is just the best! Love it.

Yuck.
I really like most of Dr. McDougall's products--vegan, low-fat, quick, easy to keep in a desk drawer--but this one didn't do it for me. I ordered a 6-pack online because my local co-op has a limited supply of McDougall products.First, it's double-packaged in cardboard--totally unnecessary. I received the packages, took off the outer layers, put them in my recycle bin at home, then took a pack to work. Much to my dismay, the inner package didn't include ingredient info so when I tried to read the details at work, I was out of luck.It was too sweet to eat. Granted, I have an underdeveloped sweet tooth, but I found this inedible.I'm trying to decide whether to throw the other 5 packages in the trash or give them away to my coworkers.
