Come prepared
If you are not familiar with the work of Carl Jung, I strongly suggest at least watching a few introductory videos on him to familiarize yourself with his concepts. When it comes to a complete psychology of the human mind, you really can't go deeper than Jung. So come prepared, otherwise the depth of what this book is mapping out will go right over your head. For someone familiar with the concepts and interested in seeing a full map of the Jungian psyche, a song by song Jungian analysis of the BTS album and short but deep explanations on things like the Shadow, Anima/Animus, Ego, Self and of course the Persona...this book is phenomenal.Definitely going to be rereading and highlighting concepts out of this little gem for years to come

Great mini introduction to Jungian ideas
This book is a great first introduction to Jungian ideas. It is not, as I had originally thought, a volume focused on the persona only, but the essays are useful as a very first pass through these ideas--especially if you are coming to them from BTS or intrigued by the title. I can only strongly recommend that you follow up with Stein's Map of the Soul: An Introduction, which will give you a much more in-depth exploration of Jung's ideas and many of their implications. You can follow up more deeply with Jung's Two Essays or one of the other short volumes with his writings or those of his students.

Hard to get into...
Very hard to get into. The Korean pop group BTS based their album off this book and it made me excited to read it but just the introduction is very dry. I’m sure i’ll get around to reading it but so far, it’s not as exciting as I would have liked. I normally read these types of books but for this one, I just can’t get into it.

I love it!!
This is a beautiful, and great book! I really like it that they have a dedication to BTS (a Korean K-pop Band) and they have an explanation of all their songs of the album that was inspired by this book! Very insightful and I had to google this k-pop group to know more about them since the lyrics inspired by this book are amazingly smart and wise.

Great book and professional seller
The seller was very kind and generous. We had an issue with shipping that wasn't their fault but they handled it very well. It was a book that I was interested in and ment a lot to me. I will definitely buy from them again.

Short, expensive & lacking
It’s really expensive for what it is like are they serious. The book is very small, like brochure size and length, and it is filled with vague content. The theories and commentary around each of the song on the album is pretty neat. In Persona it even goes into NamJoon’s UN speech which was a nice touch. The caveat with this book is that it is severely lacking in actual BTS lore or Universe knowledge. It is different to write about a group or anything you, yourself aren’t an active fan of. The authors are not exposed to the universe of BTS, they aren’t fans or even army for that matter and it is very obvious. A major hint is when they referred to the song “boy with luv” as “boy with love” and older song “boy in luv” as “boy in love”, am I nitpicking? Arguable, but that is the song title. Another one is that they say Halsey’s feature represents the female soul that most Koreans have of “wanting to be American”... and that’s why she was in the song. Boy With Luv is a song for Armys, they even made a special video literally called “Army Version.” And Halsey represents the Armys and international Armys out there.I am aware they are Jung scholars that enjoyed going through the BTS world through the eyes and works of Carl Jung. But they couldn’t have brought in someone who knows BTS properly? The song by song analysis is short, and lacking and could have gone more in depth. But they can’t. The folks that read the bighit bts universe comic book you can read online, and the whole history, storytme lines, analysing every music video, reference...it’s all connected. Everything is connected and they missed out on so much to make a vague summary that a parent would give to their kid to try look cool. The actual Jung/Map of the Soul sections are informative and nice, but short and lacking and not worth the price tag. At all. Buy the actual book by Murray Stein for the Carl Jung psychology parts. And for the BTS song theories/explanations etc - search up xCeleste. One of the best.In conclusion just save your money, get it out of the library.

Great intro to Jung and BTS' use of Jungian theories
I originally bought the kindle edition and loved it so much I ended up using these Jungian theories in my film project and bought the book as a prop. That came in handy as a few people on set got curious so they got to flick through it and understand my project a bit better. It's been great for personal development as well! I was seeing a Tactical Analysis therapist for over a year and she mentioned Jungian theories so this is very handy

Very interesting and easy to read
I bought this book because I am interested in the work of Jung, also because of BTS how this influences their persona album, I wanted to learn more about the persona, the shadows and ego the concept as to why we are who we are.
