I initially bought the EU Large/Asia XL size as indicated for my height, weight and trouser size. Waist fitment was fine, length on my leg was fine, the padding was OK, but there was a *lot* of excess material around the legs. They were really just too loose, they caught on the nose of the saddle and the bottoms of the legs rode up my thighs very easily with the wind at any decent speed, about both of which I wasn't very impressed - and said as much in the first version of this review.Having used them, I obviously couldn't return them, but Santic Sports very kindly sent me the EU Medium/Asia L size instead, which was above and beyond any expectation. The smaller size is quite an improvement, it's a better fit for me all round, with not quite so much excess material. Most importantly it no longer catches on the saddle nose, making it much more useable. Although there is still some leg ride-up at speed, I should probably have anticipated this in the first place as the product photos show the inner net having leg-holes instead of extending right the way down to the hems. I guess I wasn't expecting the material to be so light!As such, I now feel that this is a three-star product, with the fourth star being for Santic's excellent customer service: they really have tried as hard as they can to make sure I'm happy. I'm certainly satisfied that I've had my money's worth compared to what you'd pay for a top-end equivalent. While these shorts might not really be suited to my enthusiastic solo style, they should be fine for leisurely rides out with the family, and I imagine they would be perfect for a spinning class.

These shorts feel funny when you're not cycling but on the bike, they are a godsend.I've looked into gel seat covers for my bike but a decent one is so expensive.This is a good cheaper alternative which provides comfort and support.I can vouch for the quality of the shorts because I use them to commute to work each day and have had no wearing or tearing.They are also breathable as I don't find my legs sticking to them which is a big relief for hot summer days.

These are really good shorts but they need to simplify the sizing guide. It’s just too complicated. Ordered the XL for my waist size of 34 to 36 depending on my pie consumption. The waist is loose enough that I need a belt, just. The length of the gusset (what a word) is too long and catches the front of the saddle a bit. Padded undies are ok but I was expecting more protection from the pictures, it’s quite thin foam. You’ll never be a ninja in them as they are quite loud when walking. Overall quite pleased for the money.

Just can't get my head round the random sizing of these shorts..''buy bigger size''....''buy smaller size'' reviewers have said, just not sure what's the right size, so working on reviews I guessed a size..Arrived quickly, but they are about 2 sizes too big, the 'protective inner pad' (non removable)looks like I've got a bad case of piles, & only got 1 pocket..much too smallCan't really bother to send them back, but hopefully they'll shrink in the wash......Nice shade of black though.......

Good quality. Little baggy at the bottoms but a velcro strap can adjust. I'm a 34-36 waist and the XL is a little loose in the waist. I should have ordered L but I manage. A large phone fits in the zip pockets and lower pockets a good size when off the bike although not comfortable when on the bike. Belt loop good for keys/ small tools.

Material is not good or comfortable. The garment isn't cut to fit well. Could do with another pocket. Wouldn't buy again

Don’t like these shorts at all. Not at all what I expected and the fit was ridiculous. When wearing them on my bike the waste would work itself down and then the zipper would part and leave you exposed. This is a bad, as it makes you conscious of it and puts you off your ride. All I could think about was the zipper opening. And when I say opening I don’t mean that the zipper comes undone. I mean that the zipper is in the up position and the zips still part! I wouldn’t recommend these at all to anyone!

Re reviewed after some time wearing. They are a great short. Very light and dry fast. Narrow in the hips, even when waist fits, but maybe that's just me and may fat behind! Took a while to come, but that was explained. Wear them every ride now
