Clever and interesting
I love Agnes Cristi Writings but had not read these. Entertaining their own right, they also give some insights into her development as a writer.

pretty good collection
Overall, this is a pretty good collection of Agatha's short stories. Most of them hold up well, especially the Poirot stories. In the Glass Darkly, unfortunately, doesn't age very well. I guess domestic abuse wasn't a topic that was talked about a lot in the 1930s, but the resolution of this one is problematic to say the least. The Regatta Mystery -5 StarsThe Mystery of the Bagdad Chest - 5 StarsHow Does Your Garden Grow - 4 StarsProblem at Pollensa Bay - 5 StarsYellow Iris - 5 StarsMiss Marple Tells a Story - 4 StarsThe Dream - 5 StarsIn a Glass Darkly - 1 StarProblem at Sea - 3 stars

Enjoyed each story as only Agatha Christie can write. Short and enjoyable always keeping me guessing. Good travel book for planes trains and automobiles.

Classic Short Stories with Poirot, Miss Marple and Others
I enjoy the simplicity of Christie's writing style. These short stories are easy read and I particularly like reading the stories and then comparing those stories to the corresponding BBC programs, particularly Poirot.

Good but not great
This book was really good for my short stories book report but I feel like a few of the stories were boring. My favorite story was the love story. I would recommend this book to 11 year olds like me who like to be able to read a nice short story but if you have school reports I would definitely recommend this.

Soak the Punters.
This was a somewhat disappointing purchase. The packaging, principally, put me off. The stories are great and so are the readers. All that is taken from the original Harper Collins production. You won't lose anything by buying this. But it does feel like a miserly, sub-contracted version of the real thing. A cheap black cardboard inlay. Unadorned by the identification of the content. I guess because that would limit the packaging to a particular product and they have plenty of others they want to get off their hands with no extra expense. Except for the outer sleeve this is totally non-descript product. For the convenience of those who might wish to know what is on this C.D. I can tell you that they are mostly Poirot stories. With two Parker Pyne, one Miss Marple and one stand alone. The Mystery of the Baghdad Chest, How Does Your Garden Grow, Yellow Iris, The Dream, Problem at Sea. Are Poirot. The Regatta Mystery, Problem at Pollensa Bay. Parker Pyne.Miss Marple Tells a Story. Self evident. In a Glass Darkly, uses none to the usual problem solvers.Unless you are keen to add one or more of these stories to your collection I wouldn't bother with this. There is nothing that really warrants the cash. Not even 'In glass darkly' which was my main reason for purchase.
