Very handy tool for adding miso
Works great. Especially like that it clips to side of pot unlike my antique old one handed down to me by my mother which still works and actually cane from Japan

Well made utilitarian kitchen aid
I suppose it's perhaps a little pricey and a little niche-y, but I strain miso into my dashi soups and stews several times a week and I never fail to smile about how well-made it is and how well it does it's job.

Works well and solid
I was looking for a good quality miso paste strainer and this one fit the bill. The wood is solid and it is very well made. It doesn't look cheap like some other ones I have seen. You cannot tell from the picture but it has the hook so you can hook it onto the top rim of your pot. I usually just use my spoon to help strain the miso, but I have used the wooden pestle that comes with the set and it works well.

neat gadget that solves a problem
If you've ever had trouble getting miso paste to melt into your soup without lumps, this is the gadget you need. Just put the paste in the basket, pour your hot water half in, use the pestle to push the miso through, and you have a perfectly blended miso soup cup. Wonderful!

Perfect for dissolving miso in hot water on the stove
You must first make sure your water is not boiling. Then add your miso to the strainer and use the accessory to fully dissolve it. The wood seems bare, not coated or varnished at all, so that’s one thing I don’t like about this set.

Perfect for miso soup
Does exactly what it's supposed to, and with the added benefit of no plastic. Easy to clean with a brush (clean right after use).
